My gfx card on my PC burt out due to the fan stopping and now with a seemingly better gfx card (though pretty crap still) it now won't run 2 accounts at once, even using /clientsleep.

PC spec is: Advent 3510

2.8 Ghz Pentium 4 processor
512 ddr ram
nvidia geforce 5200 fx :(
running on windows XP (all updated etc)
And using 256k ADSL connection

Before getting a new gfx card i had a geforce 440 MX which ran 2 accounts prefectly and without any gfx lag. However after it fried with the new card the pc will not run 2 accounts in SI or TOA client without the other either LDing or making them both Lag to the extreem that the PC crashes.

Any help on what upgrades i should do are welcome, approximately for about £200 budget, pre thx.

that's yer 2 main problems performance wise....sory to say but bought a dud gfx card ;)

upgrading the card to something up the high end of a range will help alot (i dont mean goin for a 6800 with flashy shite...even a GE-Force 4800 ti would perform well)

im sure people will suggest some more current cards shortly...listen to their suggestions..and try to get exactly the number etc they say..as gfx companies havea habit of producing similar cards that dont perform anything like the other ones.

Thing is if i buy a cheeper gfx card, i can't upgrade it, and have to buy a new one at full price, whereas if i got a good gfx card, i can buy the ram later

i would get the gfx card on this occasion..i play with 512 MB ram..and although it does lag on loading NF area...or a HUGE zerge (not too much to cause a prob) i would say its better than having a cheap nasty card...and 1GB
