Seen the trailer for it, I remain skeptical about it because its flagship trailer blatantly looked like it was running on a high end PC. I don't care what Microsoft claim - that is NOT a console this is running on.

So it's just a glorified PC then basically, why splash 500 on an Xbox Scorpio when you could prob put a budget PC together for 600-650 that can run everything the Scorpio would have.

Sony conference late tomorrow night (think like 1-2am EU time) strong/solid rumours of Bloodborne 2 @ECA

I have a ps 4 pro. So might be a bit bias but i have owned an original xbox and a couple of 360s.

I am liking the pick up and play. Not pick up downloads the latest drivers to get it to play properly. And i dont have my pc next to the tv so enjoy sitting on the couch playing.

I've got a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One, I rarely use the XB1 though because its specs are inferior + why would i sub to both when the exclusives for XB1 have been utter shite, my kids currently use my XB1 to watch netflix.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

when the fuck have consoles games been pick up and play in this gen? Everything has been shoved out the door at the last minute with the "fix it in the last 2 weeks, or after launch ( and it's been leaning towards the latter )".

It's only because of sony/MS deadlines and physical distribution that PC versions get dicked.

Its essentially an I3 coupled with an AMD 580...

Yeah, not a lot to get excited about.

meh, as I said above I'd rather splurge an extra £200 on a £700-750 pc tbh, most games that come to Xbox normally come to PC anyway.

Minecraft maybe, not anything with proper textures.

I look forward to my irritating mate who's an xbox Fanboy telling me it'll do 4k. I'll no doubt draw a blank look from him when i say "draw distances".

imo draw distance is just as important as fidelity for maintaining immersion.

Noway the specs on that will do 4k at 60fps consistantly, especially in high resource demanding games.

I could play some games in 4k on my 280x... pretty sure a 580 will be able to do surprisingly well.

Add 5 years of XB live, add the extra £10-20 cost of new games vs pc at 3 games/year.
etc etc.

Yup, the only real reason for console over PC is fanboyism and marketing weakness. There is not a single benefit to consoles, especially now they appear to be going down the frequent "upgrade" route. Both consoles pads work on PC, you can play PC on your TV, you can do infinitely more on PC.

Consoles, £500 every 4 years, extra cost on games, monthly subs... No thanks.

Simplicity. A box from a shelf that works.

Rather than the more complex enthusiast world of pc.

Without the consoles a lot of the games would never be made as they give volume sales to make money back.

I think only @Job still has PC trouble. Everyone else has learnt to use them without any bother. Can't remember the last time I even downloaded a driver, the graphics card software does it all for me.

Edit for grammar, I wasn't paying attention while gaming, watching a movie and browsing the internet while listening to goat porn and compiling a video while on a skype call at the same time.

I think yoh might have had a point in 2010 @Moriath but not now.

My sister can use a PC fine - and she still switches off the sockets at the walls in case electricity leaks out at night...

Tbh, given how much console companies seem to be gravitating towards a phone company model of frequent releases, I can see myself moving away from consoles over the next few years. Being unemployed I'd be pretty fucked if my family werent that wealthy if I kept pissing money away on consoles.
