not really thats essentially how wifi works, the problem will be that they will add encryption and half, if not more the speed like with current wireless

Not that impressive really tbh, it'll cost more to run that and to keep it cool than it will to run IBM's bluegene (Bluegene being a super computer, the worlds fastest)

Fastest we'll see in the next ten years is probably 12-16 core @ 4ghz or so imo.

Near future, the fastest you'll get is octo core, and thats a bit of a wait for that.

Gen 4 games consoles will be rediculous, imagine a dual xenon xbox 720 (2x 9ghz) or a ps4 with two cells (2x 25ghz)

500ghz is decades away imo, for us.

Considering said oct-core cpus are in production, the exponential curve has hit the super steep bit.

It's only going to get easier to stick more cores in the further we advance in micro-technology.

I think we'll be running on 32 core cpus and up very soon.

Octo-Cores have been in production (Atleast, from AMD) since around Feb (Well, they announced them around feb) - Going to be interesting to see what they do with it.. But as Chron said, Async computing should be the next thing.
