my plus's put me to 50 shield anyways, waste of points imo, yeah the block stun is 10 secs and less end but slam ftw. getting a boost from 99 to 127 af is better.

i can keep my spec how it is and go 34 slash still, i will also have 50 shield from plus's and 48 chants

Eh? I've been grouped with both 42shield and 50shield pallies and can say that there's a huge difference. The 50shield pally could tank level 65 mobs without getting below 80% hp. The 42shield one had hard time tanking against Finlaiths which are lower in level. The 50shield style is nice, but not the reason why clever pallies go for full spec.

Ah yes, the 50shield pally was in his epic while the 42 one had SC.

my paladin can tank anything in df loop, shieldspec doesnt make that big a difference, imo

42+11 Sheild = 53
50+11 Sheild = 61
Thats alot of difference tbh.

I have a 42 Sheild Pally and a 50 Sheild Hero, and my Hero cant suicide on red pookas unless i sit down. I actually hit a pooka and left in combat with the aim to suicide. i went to loo, came bak and i was on half hp and pooka on 1/4 i was like wtf!?!?! this was totally unstyled btw. Could my Pally do that? i doubt it very much.

But on the other hand going less in sheild allows for more in Parry. But remember Parry dont guard your sheild does the guarding.

i may try getting this RA which costs 15 pts, it gives you 1% power then 1% heal but it has a 4 hour recast time
