ok so i got a new comp from HP with everything preinstalled (i installed norton and updated windows), problem i have is i cant run daoc at all, it locks up after 5 secs, i installed latest forceware (78.03) reinstalled dx 9.0c and it still wont work.

ive removed sidedoor and moved a few cards around to give gfx card a bigger space (heat) and it got up to about 3-4 mins before it locked up again. im starting to loose hope of ever playing daoc again...can run fable with no problem and tried the fear demo for about 20 mins and that seemed to work.

dunno if its any help but ill copy/paste dx diag:

if you can help please post or just post suggestions and ill try to my best to try them...

not sure if a format will do the trick since all im getting back (recovery) is same as it was and that didnt work..

Well from the fact my pc is running daoc fine i would be tempted to say its not the processor, have you checked to make sure you have the latest driverset for your motherboard.

Hi there, take a look at this Inquirer Story it gives a link to a new set of drivers, they are beta ones so may not be entirely stable.
Make sure you uninstall the previous drivers before you install the new ones, some people reccommend a program whose name escapes me to make sure the previous drivers are gone. I tend just to use the 'uninstall driver' in the property bit or in the 'add remove' programs :) I am lazy.

Hope that is of some help.
