problems with win.exe!!! thers a virus in it and i wont delete?? im using notron 2004 and win xp the virus is called adware.startpage

When the virus is found, does it say where it is?

I've heard of viruses that deposit themsleves into the system restore backups, making them sods to delete. If this is the case, you'll have to turn off system restore, then delete it, then re-enable system restore.

Is it a virus? If it's detected as adware.startpage then it's probably just some crappy spy ware software.

its found in the windows file neer the botten pluss stuff keeps on appering in my favorites folder

Are you sure you followed all of the instructions in Jaba's link? A quick Google search shows this has removed the trojan for pretty much everybody.

Most things won't start if you boot in safe mode, from where you can disable system restore and try the removal instructions (again!)...
