problems with mic :(

soz im a nub and i need help with my mic it wont fuckin turn off!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaa ok i like 2 listen 2 loud music and im allways heering eccos and every hting from the mic the mic is biult into the monitor and there is no off switch

you could stick a piece of chewing gum over the mic or did you try the sound control panel ? - bottom right on the start bar (or actually in the control panel) - slide that mic setting all the way down or just mute it

If the mic is built into the monitor, it must terminate somewhere, unless the speakers are also built into the monitor. If you can't turn it off in windows, I suggest doing what Smurkin says, a nice big dollop of blue tack would work well.

Like Tom says, if the speakers and mic (or even just the mic) are built into the monitor, just pull the lead from your sound card.
