Problems with Defragmenting.

Ok I suck at computers, have no idea what this means, if anyone could tell me how to fix it so i can defragment would be great i did a CHKDSK in run, but it wouldnt let me do a SCANDISK Anyway.. heres my problem

Go to My Computer.

Right click on c:\ --> properties --> Tools tab --> Error Checking --> Check now

Make sure "Scan for blah blah blah" is ticked.

My computer, righclick on your harddrive, tools tab, scandisk. do a standard one at first if no problems is found to a surface scan also.

Also it might be good not to do too much crap from the harddrive you want to defrag. as it will take a long time or fail etc otherwise.
