Problems with CS, WinXP and OpenGL.

I've just upgraded to Windows XP Professional Version 2002. Before this, I had Windows 98SE and I could use OpenGL in CS with the "Default" driver option fine. Now that I am in WinXP I can't. My graphics card is a nVidia Riva TNT2 Ultra and the drivers are Detonator 29.42's. Any ideas why and any help would be graeatly appreciated. Thx in advance...

I'm using win2k with a tnt2 and those drivers and I have no such problem. I have no idea what to suggest to fix it....

I'm to busy waiting for my gf4 to be replaced :)

I had some gfx breakup probs with those drivers, not to mention the dodgy framrates I got.

Theres a beta release of the 30.00 drivers on www.guru3d.com

They work fine for me...dont get the 30.30s though as a lot of peeps couldn't get Win XP/2k to recognise them...I heard they smell a bit too.

If they dont work I can only suggest trying older drivers but not the 29.80s (i think) as I believe they're a bit gainward specific (well they were released by gainward anyway)

I would try older drivers rather than more recent ones as the support for the tnt2 is only going to get less as the drivers move forward rather than more.

Plus, as all drivers are evolutions of the predecessor it is likely that getting the 30.00's will still result in you having the same problem so I feel backtracking is the only way.

Get em here just goto page 5 of the Det section and their 4th down from the top.
