Since a while ago I've been unable to view a list of the contents of a CD from within explorer. Or indeed any Windows program's file select dialog box. I can get round it most of the time by using the Command Prompt which still sees all the files correctly but Windows refuses to open the file 'tree'. No message, just won't do it.

My drive is a Pioneer DVD-ROM.

Any ideas ?

I'd start by uninstalling the DVD drive from Device Manager and letting it redetect it again, make sure you (re-)allocate the same drive letter to it afterwards.
