I got a problem when i try to create movies, I use Fraps and windows movie maker (have tried with Premiere too). I can record with fraps fine and the file that is made when i record is good quality and have good brightness.
Then i open the file in windows movie maker / adobe premiere and just make a movie out of it (good quality) and it turns out in good quality allright but the problem is its dark like hell, no brightness at all. I've tried several different ways to get it brighter but none will work, what is wrong?
A friend recorded a short movie and made it, went very well. He send the original file to me and i tried to make it in windows movie maker (same options as him) and it got dark again!

Would appreciate some tips about this, i'm ready to give up :(

Not sure but have you tried altering the compression settings ?
Are you using the same codec and settings as your friend ?
I used to make movies with Medal of Honor and different codecs make alot of difference in the quality and for some even brightness.

Yes we did the exact settings and everything, his movie turned out fine. Mine turned out dark and you couldn't see a thing :(

I'm having the very same problem myself. It sucks. I must've been trying thousands of different compression settings, still the picture stays dark.
