Another pretty good series from the States. Premise is that a guy gets himself thrown in prison in order to break his brother out. His brother being on deathrow for a crime he didn't (Or maybe did?) commit.

The twist, the guy who gets himself thrown in prision designed the place.

Watched the first two episodes so far and it's been quite entertaining. Can't really see it going past one season, but lots of twists and turns can be expected.

Oh and Robin Tunney (ala The Craft) is in it. Always a good thing.

From what I understood from the first episode, the firm that designed the prison subcontracted to some company which then subcontracted to the company he worked for. Although he did say he designed it earlier in the episode. Anyway, IT DOESN'T MATTER, it's a good show. :)

This show is looking good already, I love the way he's always casing something out, be it a window or a drain :)

It's pretty obvious his brother is innocent, those secret service guys are doing ihghly illegal shit to stop him getting off the hook. I rekon his plan is not about the doctors surgery as such, but the doctor herself, remember how he knew some silly quote she said for some speech or whatever? Shows he has looked into it, I rekon he's gonna persuade her to come on board. His brother's poor ex-missus and son, thinking he's gonna get the injection and then he (as he obviously will in the end) escapes to some far-away country. That mob boss is pretty cool, the chopping off of the toe was unexpected to say the least, not many shows have the balls to display that kind of violence.

A fucking plus!

I'm just wondering if they might try to squeeze some more seasons out of this. Have them all escape in the last ep. Season two is the run away/chase season. Season Three will be the "Show he's innocent and all is forgiven" season. Then Season four will be both of them getting chucked in jail to free the brother's son who, while his dad and uncle have been busy clearing his name, has turned to smack in a big way and killed some hobo for his stash ;)

Thought I'd bump this back up seeing as it gets it terrestrial tv debut tonight on good ole channel 5 (10pm), I'm sure most of us will have already seen this and decided if we like it or not (love it personally) but if you ain't I recommended catching the first episode tonight.

Season 1 is on trackers, but I don't know if I can fit it in with Lost, 24, BSG and SG:Atlantis on air.

There's not much talk about the series either so I suspect it's not that good!

Just watched e1 on Ch5, it wasn't that bad.
Have to say i loved the DB Cooper reference.
Only problem is that surely in reality they'd know that a) his brother was there and b) he'd done work on the plans

Enjoyable none the less.

Oh JingleBells :twak:

If you watch this dont bother looking for the plot holes, theyll find you. 1 every 5minutes: slapping you in the face with all the subtlety of a baseball bat.

Found a masterpiece of a review of this: quick clip 0 spoilers, but I tagged it for the sake of the random **** that'll whine about it anyway :m00:

Hooray! Hooray for Prison Break (Mon, 10pm, Five), because it's wholly bloody stupid and doesn't care who knows it! In fact, it's SO ridiculous, it might just single-handedly usher in an all-new golden age of inanity, thereby confounding anyone who thought society had reached its ultimate idiocy threshold a few years ago with the invention of novelty ringtones.

Prison Break is possibly the dumbest story ever told. It makes 24 look like cinéma vérité. It's as realistic as a cotton-wool tiger riding a tractor through a teardrop. I've played abstract Japanese platform games with more convincing storylines. And the American public recently voted it Favourite New TV Drama at the People's Choice Awards. Suddenly, the farcical tragedy of current world events makes perfect sense. I'm not saying the Americans are stupid. They're not. All I'm saying is a substantial number of them may well have lost their minds. Centuries from now, historians will cite Prison Break as the quintessential artefact of a civilisation sliding into absolute babbling madness. It's that good.

Its great tbh and in US it had very high viewings.Prob with forums is ppl always beleive there own taste is the best taste, i.e i see ppl call 24/prison break ect crap but then say things like serenity are good.... To me serenity was boring, slow, full of silly comedy bits and just as daft as any other show ppl seem to call :)

Yes talivar that is certainly true, but prison break is shit. They extended the story purely for money and as dray ahs pointed out its *full* of gaping plot holes.

Yea but my point is its all in the eye of the beholder, for every program/film/game/book ect u will find ppl who like it for what it is and ppl who dont like it for what it is :).At the end of the day for me its all escapism so i dont care if theres plot holes and stuff as long as i feel entertained:)

So there are plot holes, so some of it makes you go , "What teh hell, that would neveer happen in real life"

Who the fuck cares! It's called suspecsion of disbelief and it's entertaining. If you want real life then go back to watching some shit reality TV show that is slowing eating up any form of entertainment that is worth watching!!

Who gives a flying fuck how realistic it is, I want to be entertained and thankfully many of these unrealistic shows entertain me (24, CSI, Prison Break) if I wanted to know what it was really like to bust out of prison I'd go rob a bank get chucked in jail then try and break out, the problem with that though is I'm much to pretty to be in jail and they'd all want a piece of my ass :eek7:

Well Its back.

Airs Monday night in US, its 'around' already for this with no patience that want a 4:3 version with "PROPERTY OF FOX" crap on the screen throughout.

And guaranteed to be as silly as ever :m00:

It's a shame The Shield is coming to a close already, feels so short this season. Oh well, should be back soon mehopes.

If anyone is interested I was recommended a show called The Unit. It looks like it's got a solid team behind it (David Mamet, Shawn Ryan behind the scenes) and familiar faces on screen such as Dennis Haysbert (President Palmer in 24).

The first two episodes have been shown, I haven't had a chance to watch them yet though.

I just watched the 2nd episode of The Unit today, another one to add to the list, it's also got Robert Patrick in it and some other guy I couldn't place, finally had to imdb him and realised I knew him from Scrubs.

New episode s1e14

That was a pretty cool episode nice way to get people back into the series, the only possible way I can see him getting out of being executed now is if Sucre does the same as Michael and shorts out the electric again (the fact you don't see him telling him what he did when he asks makes it even more plausible), although I could honestly see them actually kiiling him now :(

My guess, is the rat was a diversion there is a second (something) in place and his emotions are just a front.

We'll see next monday

Well ep15 is now everywhere imaginable, and probably various other places too.

Quality seems to be as bad if not worse than the early version of ep14 that turned up, do yourself a favour and avoid it.

Where are these early releases coming from? you don't get them with 24 which is on fox, personally I avoided the early episode just means having to wait longer for the next episode to air.
