Very nice, and yes, it is very very pirates of the Caribbean like, also reminds me of the Mummy.

Looking forward to this :)

what so there's no persian (yes yes I know it's not persia any more) actors they could have used? I like Jake Gyllenhowthehelldoyouspellthisname? but it would be nice when making films like this they'd make the most of authentic regional actors

Well, it's like the Percy JAckson of Pirates.

I never did get into the new PErsias, remember just the side scrolling falling in spikes flattened by walls ones :p

It's a game movie, but these days games ARE movies so the transition is less painful and it has worked before.

A bit of tomb raider, a bit of Pirates, touch of Bruckheimer(any bets on where in the movie the "spin camera around whole scene and through small holes" comes along? :D) and it's certainly, if not writing excellence, an entertainment movie.

Also it looked like they've dropped the annoying bits about arabic areas out(the music sometimes is really annoying etc) and it's mroe of action-sands.

Initial thought; Bruckheimer = entertainment, game movie, will have to see. Will be entertained no matter.

Oh yeah; where's the humorous character? I'm not talking about jarjar, but some "I hate it when you do that" things would be fun.

I agree tbh, Alexander Siddig would probably have been a better choice for bad guy too

The signature "spin the camera around the scene coz it's a Bruckheimer movie" is in there.

And Gemma Arteton gets a major Hollywood film. She's getting quite the career. :)

oh don't get me started on this! Whenever I go to the movies I swear the trailers get longer and longer, the show time listed at the cinema for my movie on friday was 18:10 it didn't start till at least 18:40.

I tell you I had to show some major restraint with my popcorn because I've done it before where I think 'meh I'll just have one..two..three...four Ah Ah Ah' and I don't eat popcorn I graze on it so if I start then by the time the movie is actually beginning all I got left is those unpopped kernals...which I still eat but I don't enjoy dammit!

[hehe edit: multifail! OK so this post is referring to the quotes about trailers and showing most of the movie in them, I thought I'd quoted them but obviously not...]

reaching the unpopped kernals is the low point of any cinema trip

<nods approvingly>

Since DS9 finished he's turned up in various places and always been very enjoyable to watch. He deserves much more juicy plum parts.

He has had good jobs
Most of them are for TV rather than movies (lots of sci-fi, Spooks, 24, Merlin etc..)
Movie wise you might have a point tho, he does seem to run after obscure movies

Kingdom of Heaven and The Last Legion were awesome
