Have just been to see Prince Caspian. On my own, very sad, couldn't persuade anyone to go with me!!! Not surprising really. But I have to say it was so much better than the previous Narnia one. Mainly because Caspian is a dish and the two younger children have grown up a bit and aren't quite so revolting. There are one or two really funny bits, especially the cat, for cat lovers every where.

It was a better story so glad to hear it's a better film. Still not seen either film, Narnia was a fuckin awesome read when young!

3rd. A good book (Silver Chair was the best IMO).

Unfortunately due to the local cinema's complete lack of ability to control idiots in the theatre, I will be watching this with the magic of piracy.

Eddie Izzard is the only reason I saw this. Good film regardless. (Mouse was epicly cool)

Never a fucking truer word spoken. I have had this rant with people at work who think dloading films is wrong etc. I can see no difference between paying to see a film, having the whole experience ruined by some fucking chav and her brood of 8 asbo kids, and paying for a broadband connection and getting the film. Infact make everyone pay 10quid a month more, give it to the film companies and make downloading legal. Or just set up a website that gives paid legal screenings/downloads of films already. I dont begrudge paying to see a film that has cost Xmillions to make but I do begrudge paying to have 2hours of my life wasted by some arrogant cumstain impressing his jailbait girlfriend in an attempt to cop a feel of his first tit.. exluding his mothers..

Erm, wait for the DVD? Just because you have an issue with going to the cinema (and by the way, I find not being English and actually turning around and telling the ***** to shut the fuck up works a treat), doesn't mean pirating a new release film is justified. Yes, film studios should offer legal downloads, etc. etc. but the fact is, they don't now, and its their content, not yours, and you don't have a "right" to get it on your terms. I expect to get flamed for this, with the usual bollocks about how you'll go and buy the DVD later, or they shouldn't release films in the US first, blah blah, but you know that's the feeble platitudes of the online pirate talking. Just be honest and embrace the fact that you're nicking stuff. I only download TV shows, but I refuse to delude myself that there's no economic effect from my actions.

I think the older sister will give great blowjobs with those monster lips haha.

Was there something specific the older boy and girl learned so that they could not go back?

Really looking forward to seeing it, but trying to hold out until it is on at the Vue Saturday morning cinema so that I can take all my kids for £1.50!

Just started reading the Chronicles again. Still an excellent read. Voyage of the Dawn Treader is my Fav....

I hate it when people are noisy in the cinema too. But I kind of expect a bit of disruption for this film, being as it is made for kids. I just threaten mine with being taken out, but they are usually so captivated that they dont dare breathe.

Hope its good...

Early evening is the best time to watch films - the little kids are heading to bed and the elder ones arent out yet.

The only noise we had when watching it was the 3 spazzers at the back and that was only a couple of times during 2 1/2 hours - pretty good.

Saying you will download it because you dont like the noise at cinemas is pure self deception.

No it isn't self deception. Its me being sick and tired of having my film experience ruined by other people, and cinema staff doing fuck all to stop it.

Its also about me not wanting to pay £15 for a DVD that I'll only watch once, its about me wanting the option to download a film for a couple of quid, in the privacy of my home.

When I watch a film I want total silence. I don't want to put up with mouthbreathers fucking around. Its a waste of my time and money.

Rent it? :eek7:

Luckily in Finland anyone who dares to do anything but laugh or go "oooooh!" when they get their pants pooped by a scary scene, get flocked.

I think the film industry discriminates against me and ppl like me who just cant bare cinemas .. I got a type of autism so am very uncomfortable around crowds and with loud noises etc and being in a cinema fulfills both criteria

So I don't see why I should have to wait to see the movie 6 months later than anyone else because their distribution system is based on the mainstream and not for those with disabilities that proclude them from cinemas.

Oh fuck off. Seriously. The world doesn't owe you anything. Just because you're not getting instant gratification you think its OK to nick stuff? I don't care whether you have a disability, that's just a cop out. There's an alternate option for you, it just requires you wait three months.

I've got a condition where I get uncontrollable rage when I'm stuck behind someone who insists on driving in the middle lane of the motorway at 70. I don't see why I shouldn't be allowed to blow past them at 150 on the inside lane because the road system is based on the mainstream and not those with fast cars and anger management issues.

I kind of agree with Gaff, self-deluding pirates are silly. However lets get one thing clear, it's not "nicking" stuff, it's copyright infringement. That anti-piracy ad that suggests "you wouldn't steal a handbag" etc. It's not the fucking same.

When I download a movie that I'd not otherwise buy, there are next to NO economic repercussions. I'm not using torrents, so I'm not aiding people with piracy. The only thing you could *kind of* suggest I'm doing, is paying for newsgroup access which could perhaps be argued helps keep piracy going. To a degree.

There will be the odd thing here and there that I download that I would have purchased otherwise but in those scenarios I'd have to say my attitude is "I genuinely don't give a fuck".

I dont go to the cinema because the picture is so awful. Its blurry, out of focus and lacks any definition at all.

I would much rather wait for the film on blu ray and go and rent it.

Plus if you dont pay for deluxe (where even standard is a rip off) then you are crammed in your seat and uncomfortable for the film.

I'm sure there is something else to rant about too (apart from the cost of popcorn / drink that I stopped buying years ago. I instead have a meal before hand which is nearly the same price!).

Rent a DVD? Are you kidding, they're covered in millions of scratches and sugary fingerprints. The inbreds around here thing that a DVD is a frisbee. The last DVD I rented, Batman Returns, wouldn't play as he was walking through the snow to that training camp, so I downloaded it and watched it on the computer instead.

Jesus, what a load of bull. I buy dvd's and blu-rays, I also download things. Why? Because I cannot be arsed paying for them. None of this cinemas are bad quality (find a new cinema, the ones near me are all very good quality), full of noisy people (go to a showing at a different time?), and come on, scracthed dvd as a reason not to rent? Why not take it back and ask for another, or check the disc first. Just be honest and say you don't want to pay for it, anything else is just denial.

Sorry but you're talking arse Ch3t. I have no problem with paying for things and can very easily afford to, just so long as they're worth it.

A cinema full of noisy chavs is not worth it.

A rental DVD (all of them are scratched) that won't play is not worth it. I'm certainly not fucking around driving back and forth with a disc either.

DVDs to purchase - not worth it, since I only want to watch the film once.

I've bought films on Virgin Media - not only do they charge a stupidly high £3.95 for most of them, they also crop to 16:9 which pisses me right off.

I pay money for good service and good products, nothing else.

I'd go further Nath. I'd say that piracy is your moral duty :)

Where the f*ck do you live? :eek6:

No unscratched DVDs, no cinemas without rows and rows of loud people...gees...If there's loud people, tell 'em to shut up. If there's a scratched DVD, get another or(as said) check it before you take it out.

I'm betting you've rented two movies and gone to two shows and base your judging on that.

Just admit you want your stuff free like the rest of pirates and atleast be an honest pirate. There's millions and millions of people who go to cinemas and rent DVDs and they are fine.

Ignoring all the whining.....I thought the film was excellent, and yes, the cat moment was awesome, as was Eddie as the mouse. It was definiftly darker and therefore less sickly than the first movie, and the 2 younger kids have improved.....but their parts are also better in this movie, they have more to get their teeth into. I wouldn;t go so far as to say Caspian is a dish, but he is easy on the eye. I was actually really impressed with some of the CG in this movie, specially the water scene at the end with the bridge....I thought that was awesome.

get over youself guys, if you want to fight about piracy/downloading/renting blah blah take it elsewhere. We went to the cinema, for a half 8 showing on a friday evening. The cinema was about half full and we had no trouble.

Like I said, iTunes then... unless you're going to complain about the cost... which wouldn't make sense really if you're ok to pay for things and surely any premium is worth the lack of chav interruption?
