First of all, I'm sorry if there is a thread covering movie recognition but I just couldn't find it.
Anyhoo;
There is this one movie which I saw a while back. In the movie there is a doctor studying brain or spinal cancer to save his wife. He is right on the virge of a breakthrough or atleast near one, but unfortunately the wife is getting worse by the day. Now and then the movie cuts to scenes in which the man is suddenly bald and trying to revive some sort of tree (The Tree of Life I suppose). The atmosphere is quite melancholic but somehow uplifting all through the film.
I know this is not much of a clue on what movie it is but if there is someone out there who can help me, thank you very much in advance because this is a movie I must see again.
