Although that said you won't burn much fat, if any at all through resistance work, you will increase your calorie burn over time by increasing your muscle mass, but aerobic/cardio work and watching what you eat is the only way to actually remove the fat :)

rofl aye its amazing the amount of people i know who moan on and on about not being able to shift their weight, spending a fortune at the gym but dont change their diet or the best one is this...cor was knackered after the gym but i had a great itme at the weekend I got sooo pissed had a take away etc etc

alcohol has such a high calorie content its unbelievable, loads of people could easily shift about half a stone by just stopping drinking or at least seriously cutting it down.

its like those people who go on and on about how "bad" for you diet coke it then they go light a fag lol.

Exactly.

Diet (Calorie deficit) & Adequate cardio = weight loss.

I'm cutting at the moment, and low carb diets fucking suck

Spot on, this is the only way I have ever been able to lose weight. Have shed half a stone in the last month but this blood pressure medication is messing with my stamina somewhat and I get tired alot faster than usual. I am on a fruit and veg detox regieme this week, it is pretty grim going but 7 days of this and my skin will be glowing plus I will have dropped 2-3 pounds of fat.

Do pressups/situps with weights on you rather than doing hundreds of easy shit that isnt hurting you, anything more than 50 is pretty retarded and time wasting if your wanting to build muscles.

if your wanting abs muscles to properly show through, be prepared to have a very strict diet also (unless your v young/crazy metabolism)

I can easily do 300 odd situps but that won't help you.

As suggested - do up to 50 sit ups with weights or try going against gravity too. Now that's fun ^^.

When you can do this ammount of situps\pressups you should start using weights to make the muscles bigger, instead of making them endurant. Its better to do 50 really hard situps, then to do 200 easy peasy ones:)

I dont do workout in the morning, I dont have time for it. But I play soccer three to four times a week, and when im not playing soccer i work out with weights.
correct me if im wrong, i dont work out ro do any muscle enhancing exercises (hardly ever do exersice besides for walking 2+ hours aday). but low weight over a longer period of time builds your muscles up thin and slender and mucho weight builds 'em big and hard?

Toning or 'thin and slender' as you've put it is non existant. All that high reps/low weight will do is increase muscle endurance, and give you a pump that lasts for half an hour or so.

You lift weights, you tear the muscle. You recover, the tears will grow back bigger & stronger, sometimes increase in fibre numbers, more likely to increase the size of existing fibres though.

The 'toned' or whatever is just a case of low-ish bodyfat which obviously makes muscles appear more prominent.

Well anyway I have been misunderstood.. its not normal 200 situps.. each set is different, with legs in the air etc.. cba to explain it all but it works for sure ;)

Soo... @Exercise people:

What can you do at home? =D Since there's no gyms around me... Got skipping rope for cardio/on spot based stuff, and my room/living room is good for situps/pressups (e,g: Laying over the back and sitting up) Also got things that are quite heavy which I can use. (In the process of pulling my sisters bike apart to use as a weight :D)

Any suggestions?

Currently doing 15-20 minutes of skipping (since I don't like running) (alternating technique etc) and eating properly.

Stomach Vacuum FTW!

Most abs work can be done without weights unless you seriously want huge bulging abs. The key is to vary and focus on specific muscles, My personal tip is to build up body sense and actually focus on what you are feeling whilst exercising, this is especially useful when working core muscles as most people overdo situps and work their hip flexors rather than their upper/lower abs. Whilst doing the exercise, do it slowly and feel where the pull is coming from until your technique is right. A situp done correctly (not raising the shoulders more than 45 degrees, lower back held against the floor should allow you to feel the pull in specific areas of the abs.l Similarly when doing the plank or oblique work you shuld be able to feel the muscle which is contracting. TBH if you can't then your technique is wrong and pretty worthless.

Although that said, i'm not a bodybuilder, I don't want to be, but i do want to maximise the work i do.

1000 a day!

Yesterday I could only do 5 each but I did an 80's montage now I am super fit!

Don't you mean 1000 spam posts per day? Surely you get enough exercise from purely doing that? xD
