Will Fulham hold onto a place in Europe next season or will Spurs nick it on the final day?

If Middlesborough beat Hull 2-0 they will be perfectly matched on points and Goal difference - what would they do then - is there an obscure rule?

Will Newcastle manage to stay in the premiership another year (in which case Shearer will rise to the level of a God in Tyneside :p).

Finally will the teams in the relegation zone really sue Man Utd if they field a really weak team that loses to Hull today??

Shame the top 4 is basically decided :p

With Villa still trying for 5th, and Everton facing a tough match with Fulham trying to secure 7th, Shearer has no chance. They are defensively frail, and SLOW, Villa will murder them. scousers vs spuds should be a good match as well. Think they bottom three will stay as they are, even though I think Hull and Sunderland will both loose.

Middlesbrough aren't playing Hull.
If teams are tied on goal difference the team with the most goals scored is placed higher. Hull have scored 39, Middlesbrough have scored 27. So basically Middlesbrough need to improve their goal difference by 5 over Hull to avoid relegation (and hope Newcastle lose).

I don't think spurs will beat Liverpool so Fulham should keep 7th spot and I think all 5 of the bottom teams will lose.

Don't be. Most overhyped club in English football. Interesting one for me, I'm a lifelong United fan, but with a soft spot for Hull (having lived there for 10 years), so I should really want a 2-2 draw, but I don't because I don't want to give the Scousers a whiff of satisfaction.

Newcastle v Villa - Draw
Hull vs Utd - Utd
West Ham vs Middlesborough - West Ham
Sunderland vs Chelsea - Chelsea
Fulham vs Everton - Draw

It certainly is an interesting end to the season, was really unfortunate for West Brom, i sort of hoped they were going to survive.

Newcastle vs Villa has a draw written all over it, most likely 1-1. Theyve both been playing crap recently so i doubt any of them will win.

After the Sheff Utd/West Ham debacle at the end of last season, all eyes will be on Man Utd to see what team they field. I dont understand this, because we all know United will be able to rest key players and STILL have an amazing lineup.

Everton and Fulham will probably be a good game, but Everton will probably have one eye on the FA Cup next week. It is certainly a catch22 situation now, do we field a strong team to beat Fulham to secure 5th, or hope the above result with Villa comes true.

We have been amazing in the FA Cup this season, and it will be a great shame if we get turned over by Chelsea. We've beaten 3 teams in the top 6 of the Premiership and Chelsea could be our 4th, its great.

Did you watch Villa at Boro the other week? They were great.

Not sure about that, lol. We played well in the second half and should have murdered them, but first half was a bit tame.

We need to win today, and so do the Geordies. We have struggled all season with teams that come to defend at Villa Park -- but they won't be doing that. I can see them either getting a royal stuffing or a fluke draw.

Just getting ready for the match now, going to be a great atmosphere down there today with the tribute to our greats who have died this year and to Martin Laursen who is retiring.

Yeahhh but in the same regard, Newcastle also trounced Middlesborough too about 3weeks ago, because Boro have been soso crap.

But even then, Villa couldnt finish off Boro, so both teams are definate vying for a draw, but it could potentially be one of those draws where the table constantly changes throughout the day as one team scores then the other replies.

Mission accomplished. Shearer deserves a lot of credit for his dignified response -- but Newcastle were truly woeful.

I can't help but feek that justice has been done. Newcastle and Boro have been woefull all season. Hull had a bright start and played some good football, then they lost their momentum. Sunderland at the very least worked hard every single game, even if the results show they lost.

A year or two in the Championship is what Boro and Newcastle needs to sort their shit out.

They did try.... they tried to play a passing game that they could not make work, they were utterly clueless.
