Continuing the voting for the FH Premier League 11, select a keeper

Players from the current premier league season please. Vote for and discuss a player to play in goal.

To make it easier to collect the votes can you all please put the players you are voting for in the format: vote playername and unvote playername to change your vote.

You may change your vote.

Sorry for the confusion the first time around!

I have a stronger feeling of deja vu than when I was dating twins.

I don't think fergie will let him go until the end of next season, and that will depend on how far Foster has progressed.

I was just thinking about the post game celebrations. Was weird :)

Yeah, I do think it is more likely fergie will replace vds with another established keeper, but it would be nice for once for a good English keeper to fulfil their potential.

When Foster was back at Stoke he was sent out on loan to Harriers, he played 2 games for us and conceded 5 goals. Now this was the season we went down, so you could argue (quite correctly) that our defence was utter rubbish too, but in one game he conceded 2 penalties and we lost 4-0.

The match report on the game is brilliant:
After their promising first half showing Harriers would have expected to have gone on to build on the solid platform that they had built but United had other ideas and came out for the second half fired up. It took just three minutes for the first goal to come, a corner on the left taken by David Noble found an unmarked Lee Beevers in the goalmouth, Foster should have claimed the cross but remained rooted to his line as Beevers powered a header past him.

Before Harriers had had a chance to regroup and start to play again they were two down; the ball was played through the inside left channel to Jason Lee who collided with Foster who had come out to clear and referee Bates had no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot. Andy Kirk stepped forward to take the kick and sent Foster the wrong way.

...

Ben Foster's afternoon went from bad to worse ten minutes from the end when he gave away another penalty for a foul on Kirk. Kirk stepped forward again and sent his shot to Foster's left, as he had the first one, and again Foster went the wrong way.

Harriers' humiliation was completed in stoppage time when Lee Thompson got into the penalty area on the right, his shot was parried by Foster but Kirk was following up and had an easy tap in to complete his hat-trick. The game ended to a chorus of boos and a section of the crowd chanting for the removal of the club's board of directors.

Foster got 4/10 in the match ratings :)

Part of me wishes the same Ben Foster turned up against Spurs in the Carling Cup this year, but sadly he must've improved :(

I reckon they'll sell him eventually. If he was good he would have taken over from VDS by now. He's the same age as Reina and Cech and not even close to being as good.

I love Brad, he is a great goalkeeper and a nice guy but I'm not convinced he's better than Reina. Thanks for voting for a Villa player though :D
