Oh dear. Average sums it up, below average maybe. Nothing to hold your attention, you don't care about the characters as you did in the Arnie and Glover versions. There is no feeling that they characters are in danger or being hunted (which is the whole point of the movie), not enough in the way of involvement from the predators. Too many attempts to pay homage to the original which are just cringe worthy. Oh and the acting is awful. I called all the characters and the order they would die in the first 10 minutes.

At least the cinema had working A/C.

Oh and the action is pretty shit too.

Just spend money on Predator on Blu ray instead, and bask in the awesomeness that is Arnie at his best.

You expected good acting? The best part about Predator is the pure chesse... "get to the chopper... get down"!

Sounds like you were expecting to get an Oscar winning film, the first film didnt win any either, the acting wasn't great either but the film was a guys action flick with big guns and cheesey one liners.

I'm going to see it tomorrow and my expectations aren't high I don't expect an Oscar winning performance by any of the actors the only thing I'm expecting to see is an enjoyable movie for a hour or so.

No, you like EVERYTHING Aada, and can't understand why everyone else does not. I was expecting an action movie, I didn't get one. It wasn't a guys action flick, it did not have one liners, it had some big guns. Rodriguez and the director both talked this film up during production, they have produced an utter piece of trash which is only marginally better than AVP 2, and does nothing to further the franchise.

It's a movie you can largely ignore and talk to your cinema buddies during.

The original and it's sequel had acting that was good enough, they portrayed their roles well, they were believable as a spec ops unit. The cheese was also intentional and good. This has none of that. I expected better scripting, some attempt at characters, some decent cheesy humour.

ou either shut up or get out.

Quite right, as the late Shepherd Book said, there's a special level of hell reserved for child molesters and people that talk at the theater (or cinema).

I'm hearing a mixed bag from those on Facebook; it seems you think it's excellent or an insult to the original.

I'll give it a watch.

Meh, it was an empty cinema, we had 3 rows behind us and infront of us empty. It harmed no one, so it was fine.

I wouldn't talk if there were others near, as it would annoy me too.

Anyway, that was not the point of my comment about speaking through the film. It was pointing out that the film does not hold your attention, it's quite sad that I have to explain that.

I also thought it was very good, much improved over P2 and AvP films.

I suppose it true i didnt care for the characters, but i didnt guess from the start who'd survive anyway (could also argue your not meant to care due to their history?)

The new tribe of preds were intresting, wish we seen a little more from them.

The film was pretty much what i was expecting, i give it 7.5/10

No I don't like everything. It just sounds from your post that you expected an Oscar winning film with 5 star acting and everything that goes with it.

Better yet it sounds like you knew you were going to hate the film before you saw it thus you hate it.

I'm going to see it today if it sucks I will gladly eat my hat.

Why don't you reserve judgement until you actually see it, and stop presuming what I did or did not expect?

Overall a good film for a hour or so I agree with the lines from Predator and Alien being slightly cringe worthy. I liked the introduction of another clan into the film and also enjoyed it being set on another planet. I thought they could have gave us scenes for each person being abducted.

Overall it was what I expected a B movie with B grade acting but a movie that entertained me and I felt I got my moneys worth.

Saw it on Thursday, though it was entertaining. Whilst it didn't further the franchise, it wasn't a bad film to watch. Wish they had given Fishbourne a bigger part, for such a great entrance they didn't do much with him, also if there will be another film I want to see more about the Clan war. I was a bit disappointed with the way it ended, wish it was more resolved.

Saw this tonight.

Thoroughly enjoyed the hour and a half or so of popcorn munching B-Movie fun.

Good film.

Nice hints to the 80s classic with Arny. Missed some hints to the 90s blockbuster with Danny Glover.

Worth a secuel imho.

PS: who was the actor who ate Larry Fishburne?

PS2: any1 seen "Shelter" with J.Moore and the guy from Hugo Boss adds?? I kinda liked it. Was a bit meh! at the beggining but after the first 30min it started getting good.

Spoiler sigh?

Really?

For "Predators"?

Inside Larry Fishburne is a thin Larry Fishburne trying to get out.

Not really a spoiler, its well advertised he's in the film. The comment gives nothing away about the plot :)

:( I was thinking exactly the same..... the name is on the film poster and I only spoiled his little "overweight" problem :p

Like commenting Adrien Brody problem with clenbuterol, E.P.O, stereoids and similar "bodybuilding" sustances ;)

And within that one is a tiny miniscule actor who doesn't suck balls, curled up in the foetal position, wishing he hadn't made such shit movie choices.

He's also wishing his daughter hadn't done those two hardcore porn movies.

Ohhhh, so he doesn't actually get eaten by someone in the movie. Given it's called Predators, I thought that was a distinct posibility :).
