2 answer your question you need to get faction to the dwarfs.. you can get it if you kill the inhabbitens just next to the dwarf city.. but you will need alot of kills to get enough faction ;-)

iirc those mobs givf faction only to the clans ie tradlan etc, not the dwarves :S
