So if you die a child, do you stay a child for eternity in heaven?
I mean sure..you're 'soul' or whatever I guess is not connected to the physical form in that way, but how about your reasoning, maturity?
The whole thing just doesn't really play out does it?
How do they manage to get people to believe this crap?
Jehovas Witnesses. What do they reckon? Only 144,000 go to heaven. What about the rest then? Purgatory? Hell? And have the 144,000 already been chosen? In which case, knocking on peoples door's at 10am on a Saturday and being told to eff off is not much payoff when you're going to spent eternity being sodomised by demons.
HAven't really looked into jehova stuff, but they seem to be on the top 10 ridicule list for all ethnicities and/or religions, which is rather naughty if you think about it
Could be that the 144k is a secret and no one knows if it's filled or not, so it -could- be a lottery religion where upon it's "Yei!" or HELL!
It's a helluva contrast to the traditional graves in the background. I think we just need seperate cemetery's for traditional and modern - or give up burial all together as its rather wasteful.
Incinerate everyone, use the heat for heat plumbing, use the ashes for soil, clothes for a cover for the area, gravestones and coffins for build material and build all graveyards into nice little 24/7/365 parks for dogs and picnics and stuff
I think banning that is right you go to visit your Nan's grave and you see that it seems wrong. I am not a fan of forcing people to accept you and that why i hate Camp (gay) Pride. I have no problem with you being gay but i have a problem with you thinking i need to know about it. This seems the same if i go to a cemetery i want to say goodbye to my loved ones in what i see as a dignified way and to be forced to see that is wrong.
Christ.... Wouldn't wanna be found dead over there.
Thankfuck that's not happening at any graveyard I've seen over here. And (reading article) having your kids play soccer between the graves? Are you fucking kidding me?
I visit an 'important' grave in a large cemetery about 2hrs drive away and I happened to go today. I have to admit because of the distance, and the fact that I am the only person who goes, I always take artificial flowers, I would rather take real ones but the others keep the grave looking cared for longer and because of the distance I can't go as often as I'd like.
The place is full of graves for all sorts of faiths and I do find it interesting to see what everyone else does. There doesn't seem to be anything too over the top but a lot of the graves and memorials are quite bright and ostentacious. I still find the place quite calming and soothing.
Today a few of the memorials had Valentines helium balloons attached to them. I actually found it all quite poignant.
I love the monumental cemeteries in Milan and Paris and could spend hours walking around them.
However I think we should use the walls they use in Spain where each coffin is just put into a niche and sealed in. Not so much waste of space as they can go as high as possible. the main problem in the UK is the fact that they would definitely be vandalised which does not happen so much in Europe.
