gonna be honest, think it's massively tacky. I don't mind flowers but stuff like that is a little ott imo for a graveyard.

I don't like it either, but end of the day, it's like sort of a dodgy issue, because effectivelly where the grave is 'your land' and you can do what you want, at a guess...

think its spot on
you want to do it at home, knock yourself out, cemetrys are public areas and if your disturbing people then feck off

Personal gravestones, be it a pink flamingo etc, fine, but sometimes you have to take a look back and see that enough is enough.

Windchime for example, it's not limited to your grave, it's basically dingeling for the whole party.

In short; within some reason it's ok.

I don't think its anyone else's business to tell the bereaved how to show their respect for the loss of their loved ones...but I do think that cemeteries should have a certain amount of dignity. I think at the end of the day, it would probably be best to leave the stuff alone. Unless it looks like a poundland store, in which case a tactfully worded letter or a personal visit in the first instance might be appropriate.

Do it when nobody is looking ;)

What if all your horrible ugly tacky shit upsets other mourners in the same cemetery?

They just need to split and open seperate traditional and 'anything goes' cemetaries - currently anyone who buries a loved one signs a contract that has covenants restricting all this clutter round a grave so these are all breaking those covenants.

Unless your manbits are made of granite, its going to be a tad painful....but some people are into that thing....

TdC was arrested this morning for publicly swaffling a stuffed cuddly toy of postman pat and his black and white cat. The incident occured in a children's section of the Colchester cemetery?

Oh I just made 5,000! I wish I had over 9,000 :(

Its funny the timing of this story because I was out walking the dog the other night and went past the local cemetery.

As we went by I could see these little lights and thought 'fuckit, I've finally gone fruit loop and started seeing things' but on closer inspection there were solar lights and even a light up wreath in there so its not confined to essex...

It is a class thing, the idea that death should be all serene and miserable is justconvention pushed by the hyper conservative church, the Indians set fire to you and send you off down the river, some cultures smoke your body and keep it in the house.
I hate chaviness as much as the next man, but I can't complain about this, our idea of solemness and rows of stark headstones needs changing, we shouldn't die the meek robot workers we live.
