I think everyone thinks that those of us who did the /facepalm reply considers the op racist.
Actually I think you'll find it's the typical British attitude towards racist jokes. Inside we're dying of laughter but outside we're loudly judging the person who said it so as not to get accused of racism ourselves.

Sadly it seems to have become a popular trend over the years to accuse people of being racist and as a result mild mannered people like myself have become very wary of what we and others say.
