I was going to say "Can all you religion and anti-religion talking people kindly f*ck off to your own thread and leave people who want to discuss the importance of post on sunday to this thread

on the other thread, but then decided to take...not the high road...but the easy way and make my own. You religion people can stay the f*ck out though. With religion comments that is.
There's quite the need for one day of postal service shutdown, mainly because of re-allocating that one days funds to more important stuff, like healthcare. Atleast in finland. Though as said, we have saturday bank/post free also.
When the avian flu panic(you people can f*ck off too) was running around, they said that in a "crisis situation" they would need 20000 postal workers to keep the post service running. The need for medical staff wasn't even half of that.
It's easy to ignore, but it's one of the most vital services in modern society, and taking one, or even two days of complete shutdown, easily covers some important other stuff in the society.
