Possible Classes some might be abit wrong some might be right!

Bit of Guess Work and some cut and paste from various Gamesworkshop sites of the unit background.

Gives you an idea of what to expect though if your not familular with the Warhammer Universe.

Going under the Idea that most factions will have the Heavy Tank, Damage Tank, Healer, Buffing, Spells spread over 3 classes and the remaining classes wil be a special type (Squig Hearder/Engineer)

Dark Elf

DARK ELF SORCERESSES - Caster (healer ?)

An army of Druchii does not fight with silvered steel alone, for there are other powerful forces which can be bent to the will of a brave army general. Call upon the Convents of the Sorceresses and entreat their aid, for their magical prowess will blight the warriors of the opposing army, scorch their souls from their bodies and bring ruination and curses aplenty upon their heads. Be careful in your dealings with these beautiful creatures though, for there is always a price to pay for their aid.

DARK ELF WITCH ELVES - Light Tank

Witch Elves are the maiden-Elves who are wedded to Khaine, the Lord of Murder, in the midnight rites of blood sacrifice and magic. The decadent, fragile looks of the maidens of Ulthuan are nothing compared to the intoxicating beauty of the Witch Elves. Many are willing to die (and, indeed, often do) to see but a smile on the blood-red lips of the Witch Elves. Do not desire the touch of a Maibd, a bride of Khaine, for her life is wholly given to the Lord of Murder, and he is a jealous god, unwilling to share his chosen ones. The Witch Elves of Khaine are a fearsome foe in battle, their frenzied attacks combined with their tendancy to use poisoned blades and no armour makes them a devastating if short lived force on the battle field

DARK ELF BLACK GUARD - Heavy Tank

If you are called upon to fight directly for the lordly Malekith, he may deign to send you a contingent of his personal guard. These are the Black Guard, the soldiery of the Dark Elf capital Naggarond, and they are the fiercest fighters in all the Land of Chill. Wondrously ruthless and efficient on the attack, and immovable in defense, the Black Guard are the terror of the Dark Elf enemies

DARK ELF SHADES - Special (fast moveing scout/flanking class)

While most of the Dark Elf folk live in the security of the fortified cities - one of the clans, the Shades of the Blackspine Mountains, is a notable exception. The Shades are a silent and deadly brotherhood of warriors who guard the mountain passes to the west. They live apart from the rest of Dark Elf society, waging an endless war against the enemies of Malekith. The Shades, armed with the devastating repeater crossbow, are excellent scouts and can all but halt the advance of th enemies flank by their prescence.

Empire

SIGMARITE WARRIOR PRIESTS - Healer/Fighter

Every city, town and village of the Empire has its shrines to Sigmar and priests of His cult. Thus a Warrior Priest is ready at hand to inspire the people whatever trials may come. These Priests are recognised by their robes, and by the insignia of Sigmar which they wear, in particular the image of the Holy Hammer. Warrior Priests go about their tasks in castle and camp, blessing the soldiers, healing the wounded and inspiring everyone with the words of Sigmar. When Sigmar calls upon His Priests to speak, they do so, rousing tired and flagging soldiers to righteous fury with their fervent sermons

Battle Wizards - Caster

There are eight Colleges of Magic in the Empire and each one specializes in one of the eight Lores of Magic as thought to them long ago by the High Elf Mage Teclis. Wizards can give your army a much needed edge when facing your enemies. Their magic spells range from fire balls and Lightning used to attack the enemy to magical shields and mists to protect your own troops.

Knights - Heavy Tank

The sons of the Empire's nobility often choose to join one of the select brotherhoods of Knightly Orders. There are many such brotherhoods throughout the Empire. Some of the smaller Orders recruit from the local nobility, such as the Knights fo the Blazing Sun, the Knights of the Black Rose, the Knights of the Broken Sword, etc. Some restrict their membership to worshippers fo a particular god and are referred to as Templars, such as the members of the sinister Black Guard of Mórr or the Knights of the Everlasting Light

GREATSWORDS/HALBERDIERS - Light Tank

These soldiers are the most common type of Empire State Troops, because each Elector Count is required to have a standing force of Halberdiers. The Empire halberd is a heavy weapon, capable of dealing terrible damage and is best used against armoured enemies and very tough creatures such as Orcs. Members of the Greatswords are personally picked by the Elector Counts from among the champions of their troops. To gain such a promotion, a soldier must distinguish himself under the eyes of his commanding officers or accomplish some heroic feat of arms. Greatswords form the garrison of the Count's castle and their personal bodyguard on the battlefield. Equipped with deadly two-handed swords and superb suits of full plate armour made by Dwarf Smiths, Greatswords swear to never give ground to the enemies of the Empire and to protect the count at the cost of their own lives. The history of the Empire is rich with episodes where these brave soldiers were cut down to a man in a last stand around their Count after all the rest of the army had been defeated.

Chaos

CHAMPION OF NURGLE - Heavy Tank

The Champions of Nurgle are awesome fighters, their skills honed over the years by constant battle amongst themselves and against other races. The gifts of Nurle enable the Champion to ignore pain and his appearance causes fear in even the bravest of fighters. Nurgle’s Champions, ravaged by disease, are themselves protected from such plagues, for they become inured to the pain and discomfort, and while their bodies may corrupt, the spirit of Nurgle sustains them when lesser mortals would die.

CHAMPION OF KHORNE - Light Tank

Champions of Khorne are unpredictable fighters, for they believe that a day gone by without a death in Khorne's name is a day wasted. For this reason, they are as likely to attack friends as much as foes, particularly when true enemies are hard to come by. Khornes champions are very competitive and unless they eblieve that their god has brought them together for a grander battle to come.

CHAMPION OF TZEENTCH - Caster

Few of the followers of Tzeentch can reach the end of the long road that leads to the title of Champion, but those few become the most awesome of all the champion of the Dark Gods. They are blessed with both exceptional warrior skills and the mighty lord of Magic. The Champions of Tzeentch, like Tzeentch himself, are ever changing and mutating, surrendering completely to the whims of the Lord of Change

CHAMPION OF SLAANESH - Special (Fighter/Buffer/Healer)

The Champions of Slaanesh surrender themselves completely to the excesses that are personified by their god, the Dark Prince. A Champion of Slaanesh is a fearless adversary, especialy when given the Mark of Slaanesh which makes him immune to psychology.

High Elf

HIGH ELF MAGES - Caster

The High Elf mages have practiced their magic for untold millennia, long before the coming of Man, and have developed their sorcery into a form far more refined than the crude fumblings of the lesser races. In times of strife, the Phoenix King will request the aid of Saphery. Those battle mages who accompany our armies are masters of their art, wielding awesome powers with which to strike down our enemies. Many a battle has been won by the famed mages of the White Tower of Hoeth. Those who follow the path of High Magic, or True Magic as it is sometimes called, are amongst the most skilled mages ever to weave a spell. The mages of Ulthuan see the Winds of Magic as a whole, and can easily thwart lesser Wizards who rely on single strands of the whole

PHOENIX GUARD - Healer/Fighter

Of the many great warriors of the High Elf people, the most fearsome to face are the silent guardians of the Shrine of Asuryan. Known as the Phoenix Guard, the main duty of these warrior monks is to protect the island shrine and all those who make their pilgrimage there. Particularly important is the eternal flame, through which the chosen candidate for Phoenix King must walk in order to receive the blessing of Asuryan. Armed with their halberds and causing fear the Phoenix Guard are a dangerous opponent

White Lions of Chrace - Heavy Tank

Ever since the time of Caledor the First, the closest bodyguards of the Phoenix Kings have come from the forest wilds of Chrace. These are the bravest of the young Elves of Chrace, chosen for the honour of serving the Phoenix King by ancient rites. Not all are worthy to serve, and each must demonstrate his skill and bravery by tracking down one of the fierce white lions that roam the dark forests and barren mountains of that land. When they find one they must kill it in hand-to-hand combat and take its pelt.Armed with Great Weapons the White Lions can wound foes with high toughness and their Lion cloak means they have a special save against missile fire

SHADOW WARRIORS - Special (Archer/Scout)

Even in times of relative peace, the Shadow Warriors are never at rest. They constantly patrol the barren shores and bleakest hills as they watch for the inevitable Dark Elf raiders; the evil Druchii who sank their homeland beneath the waves and who steal their children and slaughter their kin. Little wonder then that battles between them are bitterly fought with no quarter asked or given. Armed with bows and using their infiltration skills the Shadow Warriors are a great addition to any High Elf force

Really depends upon where they take their classes from in the timeline.

They've definitely brought the 'world' along in the timeline as some of those classes are based on units from the TTG

Your Dark Elf classes were exactly what I guessed at with the difference of Executioners for Black Guard. Black Guard are a little *too* elite and rare (rare unit vs special unit in WHFB).

Except of course, the official class list for the Dwarfs?

Ironbreaker
Hammerer
Runepriest (not Runesmith - they are not the same thing)
Engineer

Maybe, just maybe you could get something close to a Slayer through the Hammerer route - but I wouldn't count on it.

I'll be stunned if they don't do a 'slayer' class for dwarfs - they're such a favourite with dwarf players.

Still - it won't upset me too much - I really am only interested in either a big green mean hitty thing or a small green mean stabby/shooty/casty thing

that's about as much fluff I need to know about the class :)

the details on specialised classes still aren't out theres no reason to say the Hammerer or Ironbreaker class can't split in to a Slayer class. But then again theres no reason to say it can either, guess we will have to wait and see after christmas when some beta details get leaked

The Offensive Dwarf basicly is a Slayer (big Red beard and mohawk). Name was probably changed due to the class being altered to fit into the game. Ie if they did not have the skills or abilities (no Armour etc) of the table top version (so peeing off the pureists) they coul not realy refer to it as a Slayer.

Which name did you think they'd changed?
Ironbreaker and Hammerer are both Dwarven classes/units from WHFB.
Slayers will most likely be an advanced career you can switch into by taking the right advancement packages and, for reference, Slayers can wear armour (there's nothing in their "code" saying they can't) and they did in the original WFRP (though they don't in WHFB).

This is taken from an interview at E3

What we want to accomplish with these careers besides performing these tactical roles, and supporting the intellectual property, is to give players careers that they think are cool, as well as, help identify these guys on the battlefield. If you look across and see four different Dwarfs you'll know which role they're each performing. You can take a look at the engineer and you can see he's got crazy gear, gadgets coming out of his back, a wrench on his hip, and you'll just know he's an engineer and you can make that tactical decision. You'll know he has some crazy grenades so you'll try to fight him in a certain way as opposed to an Iron Breaker. It's all about tactical context when you're fighting."

With that statement we found it uniquely puzzling that Dwarf Slayers were not included in as a career option. Steve responded, "Troll Slayers will be playable in the game. They just may not be a starting career, but they absolutely will be playable in the game. The Slayers themselves are disgraced Dwarfs. They've been around and something bad happened (to them) and they've shaved their beards, sport Mohawks, and dyed their hair orange. The thing about being a Slayer is, from a character standpoint, they have a death wish. All they want to do is go into combat and die. That's not real motivation to play a character in the game. (Insane laughter) If you have about two hours to play a MMO, maybe you'd want to be a Slayer. But for everyone else, it's kind of hard to do a whole career around a Slayer."

So there you go. slayers will be there but not as a starting proffesion

After the defeat of their thought-to-be impenetrable fortress Karak Eight Peaks to the Orcs, the Dwarves have to rely on the strength of their allies if they ever want totake their capitol back again.

Classes:
Hammerer - A more offensive based attacker.
Ironbreaker - A heavily armoured defensive 'Tank'.
Runepriest - The spellcaster or healer in a group. Runepriests can also enchant runes on weapons to make them more powerful.
Engineer - The 'Inventor', engineers attack using distance damage-per-second attacks.

Direct Enemy: Orcs and Goblins

Starting Location: Ekrund

The Dwarves are allready made :)

Fraid not, as Tzeentch is the only Chaos god represented in the Warhammer Age of Reckoning universe as a player choice.
They have said all five Chaos will be represented in NPCs etc, but player characters will, by default, be followers of Tzeentch.
