Those ads always bring on my ranty side. To be honest, I don't know how trading standards let them get away with some of the lies in them. How many people go straight into high paying IT jobs with company cars with no work experience and only a little training course. Not many in this world. These days it's 2-3 years experience to get a 'starter' job.

Still, enjoying life as an IT consultant <grin>

thx i guess :p

But there is a reason why they get killt by usa soldiers every day.. If they just would stop attacking the soliders that are only trying to help, i bet there would not die so many..

easier said than done tbh mate, as they see the US as invading their country not helping it (the ones attacking the soldiers that is).
I dont know how Iraq or Afghanistan is going to turn out tbh, i mean how long can we send troops there? Aparently the UK is getting ready to pull out for mid next year, but all we can do is wait i guess.
Personally i think things will take a turn for the worse as Mr Bush has his eyes on Iran which will cause big problems in the region imo

That could be said for the losing side of any war though. "Stop fighting us and we won't kill you!"

It doesn't matter much what the intentions of the occupying forces are, a foreign army policing your country will always meet resistance. I'm sure you wouldn't much like a million chinese soldiers walking the streets of your city even if all they did all day long was eat fried rice. Most people probably wouldn't like their OWN army walking around their own towns with loaded weapons...

I think the fact that the UN havent replaced all the US and UK troops in Iraq or Afghanistan speaks volumes.... They dont want to get invovled in a war the cannot win :(

Rather than blaming Muslims or Catholics... why not the media?
The whole thing about every Muslim being a potential bomber and how the Pope was seen to be insulting started from 1 source... the media. The Pope said a lot of things that day and I did not see anything about the full documentary... he was simply trying to read from a book made hundreds of years ago. It makes me laugh how all these protesters have these fancy banners... its as if they have "<insert country or person> is killing Islam" and just leave the upper box clear to put whatever rubbish they feel. These people burning flags and other stuff... its Al-Jazeera just capturing stuff for there propaganda machine.

The Pope did no wrong, but then Catholics for hundreds of years had been on 'holy wars' long before Islam was involved, yet Muslims are seen in a bad light... shame, I worked with one and although it was tough (him praying) I did feel at ease with him more so than devout Catholics (if there are such people now)

/rant off :)

VERY lucky :p
3 yrs and im only on 28K (not bad for 21 tho so cant complain)
I build images for a university network
Unforunately CERT (computer security team), have made it a requirement that a image be rebuilt every couple of months with the latest updates and passwords rather than rely on the SUS server.
Back to my patch day fun ><

The key part there is you moved within the company to do it. It's much cheaper to get someone from within, so typically the required experience isn't there. Especially as its a secondment, so not much to lose. I've taken on people the same way.

I cant recall christians bombing people or starting wars in my lifetime :)

That is because the christians did their shit already and us westerners got over it, the church is losing\has lost their grip on western culture, muslims are a few years behind, backwards some might say.

That's because those shitty IT training companies that advertise on TV still promise a starting salary of 30k and a company car. I thought we had a trade shortage can't people go do that instead?

Well, i tend to stay out of these discussions...but i don't like the pope(concept) that much since those buggers killed my beliefs and religion way back when.

Damn christians and their crusades.

I've previously been paid to play games :) Best job i've ever had, however now I'm working 50 hours a week and working six days :p

The positive side is I have cost free living in Dubai (Whilst im here), free Villa worth like £300k, free food, free transport, free flights etc :)

I still enjoy my job in IT, but mostly because of the people and the fact that I can do it blindfolded :p

Think that sums up religion pretty well tbh.
A innocent guy was shot 7 times by police officers, previously it was decided no officer did anything wrong, and no senior officer was given responsibility. instead the Met police dept was blamed and a hearing scheduled, the met now claims it is not guilty of breach of health and safety regulations. This will no doubt result in noone accepting responsibility for said event.

Using the same train of thought as you Bugz i guess this means its ok for police to shoot innocent people without any reprocussions whatsoever

In thailand a group from the coutries military lead a coup and now control the country because they didnt like the current PM,
same train of throught once again,so why bother with democracy as it didnt work in this case so every military leader must think the same way

i could go on..

I am sorry but while the guy was innocent he was an illegal immigrant, acting strange days after some bad shit went down. He ran and got himself killed.

It would be wrong to blame the officers responsible they were acting in a manner to avoid a potential suicide bomber killing others.
