Pop-Ups!?!

Yes im a noob, i tried to download some software of Limewire, but then it turned into all this ToolBar 888 stuff and that. Im also getting pop-ups when im playing games which make my games minimize, lag or even close. As anyone got a good program to get rid of all this Adware/Spyware crap?

spyware blaster, addaware, spybot search & desxtroy....

Plenty of em out there, though Spybot S&D is used at the office (bout 3K pc's here) and we are nearly spy-adware free...

if your windows install is legitimate.. you can use Windows Defender too then.

Another program is Hitman Pro (Free), that one uses different stuffs to check for spyware.. including all mentioned in above post. Use google and you'll find it.

The best ones to get rid of spyware are either Adaware Personal (www.lavasoft.de) or SpyBot Search & Destroy (my personal favourite).

Make sure that after you have downloaded it update it and let them run a FULL scan (at least for the first time)

SpyBot Search & Destroy is excellent, stay away from Limewire, full of fake files and viruses.
