Pop ups in XP

Hi

I know it was mentioned on BW a few months ago. I have forgot dohhhhh.

How do you stop those gray pop up boxes in Windows XP. I seem to remember that to disable it all that was required was to sort a few things out in networking. As I cant find that, any help would be appreciated
