Nonflaming post

I know the signature thing is felxible free text and you can have whatever you want in this field.

Some are informative, some are funny and some are offensive.

One uses the the phrase

I love 15 year old schoolgirls!

Now being a little bit mature, and a father - you can understand how this comes across.

I have my own thoughts on how to deal with perverts which could include the act of supergluing the sphincter closed.

Does anyone else have any thoughts (not about 15 year old schoolgirls)

A) TUG was actually 15-16 or younger?
B) If the sig. was: I like 16 year old school girls?

I don't take offense at it since I'm hoping it's a joke. I guess if I was a father I would look at it differently.

Well, I always thought it was a joke but, if not, there's a big difference between looking and touching...best ask the owner of that particular signature.

While we're on the subject of things some of us find offensive...

I find it offensive the way a lot of people posting to this forum use the word gay (or to use the 1337 spelling, "ghey") as an insult. Do they think that visitors to these message boards are exclusively heterosexual? I'd guess that there are quite a few gay folks who are BarrysWorld members, I wonder how they feel when they read that stuff? And before anyone asks, no I'm not gay but I live in Brighton which has a high proportion of gay residents and I have one or two gay friends.

I know where your concern is coming from, but however, in the world of the barrysworld community, most of the idea is to enjoy yourself : just because somebodies sig refers to them enjoying 15 year old schoolgirls, doesn't actually mean they do. Don't forget that the internet is a large and free media. Where ever you look, you will find something 4 times as abusive/vulgar, especially when the signature in question is more then likely just a comedian/sarcastic phrase. I mean, I've seen a lot of top comedians say worse.
(Not saying that our Tug is a comedian, but still )

TUG has had that sig for a while now and used the phrase for even longer, since he wasn't much older than 15. It's become his catchphrase and it is partly there to provoke a reaction. But he's only 20 now ffs. Don't take it so seriously d00ds.

The point from Lazarus that started this off is well made. I am the father of a son and two fine daughters and if someone in real life made that sort of comment they wouldn't want me to know they said it, or even thought it. I've always thought of Tug's sig as offensive but this being the internet with public annonymity I let it slide without comment as a talking point or just a silly remark.

I don't know Tug personally, I'm sure he's a fine human being and his sig is a bit of a trademark (Bleurgh @ Deathace ) from years ago when he was 15. Now that your 20 Tug, it's worn out and offensive, perhaps you should change it? Do you really love 15 year old school girls?

The 16 year old so called legal limit is not just a law, it's also where our community driven morals belive that 16 year olds can start to make decisions about their own lives.

Well, I am far from a pervert. I am offended that you'd think that to be honest. If you knew me you'd know I have more respect for girls than more than most guys out there! But you don't know me...

I have never done anything naughty with any 15 year old (apart from when I was that age @ the time most probably ) because I know and respect the law and I have morals. My sig is just a joke really, although I do know some nice and MATURE LEVEL HEADED 15 year old girls. I could argue: whats the difference between 15 and 16? Age is NOT a complete assurance that someone is mature.

Anyway, my sig aint hurting anyone, I am not a pervert, I know the law, I respect girls so now I have justified myself I don't see why I should change my sig... until I find something else to put there (not long now and I will, new website pimpage etc)
