The problem is the word social.

A national health system is a social provision.
An American reads the word "social" and sees the word "socialist".
Anything socialist is evil and associated with terrorism.

Comments on healthcare and nationalisation aside he makes a good case, the NHS is a bureaucratic monster and it is very easy to hide behind, especially when you have such a huge percentage of foreign medical staff anyway.

I'd put money on there being more people who don't want their identity known working in the capitalist 'private' sector than in the public one.

I don't know of many criminal gangs that run under a socialist ethos.

Don't be silly. I just said he has a valid point, the NHS is a very easy place for terrorist to infiltrate because it is such a bureaucratic operation. I offer no conclusions or ways to remedy the problem but you cannot deny the point he is making.
