When i were about 6, some army guy let me hold a machine gun, when i was at some fair. Hundreds of kids also were allowed to hold these guns. Have I grown up wanting to murder someone with a machine gun?

The PC brigade do my head in.

Yeah same, at something like the Bath and West Show there are always army tents which let kids hold big machine-guns and get their photo's taken.

I do think that we live in a society that glamourises violence. Kids watch Rambo movies and play with toy guns etc. I just dont see why this specificly is such a big problem.

Been like that since...well...forever really. Atleast pre-WW1 kids played with toy guns too.

Yeah.... but then, cavemen bashed eachothers skulls with rocks for stealing food. Thats the kind of behaviour we're trying to get rid off.

remember been at RAF finningley i think it was and there was ground mounted rocket launcher you could play with laser sighted obviously the target was only virtual etc but doesnt mean i wanna climb up onto my roof and shoot down jumbo's
