In boredom I decided to mess about this via very illegal ways. But fook, this game is simply brilliantly addictive and well designed, so much to do. Yeh it's pokemon, but god damn this is fun.

i was a budgies hardon away from buying the DSI and Pokemon Black.

i decided not to but i may just invest in this.

Get White instead, it's exclusive forest area lets you catch two dozen or so old type pokemons while the Black exclusive area lets you battle a few extra trainers.

Made it to the 6th gym, only got 4 pokemon

lvl 42 Emboar
lvl 38 Pansage
lvl 45 Audino

And my HM bot a lvl 7 Patrat.

The storyline is one of the best i've seen, seems extremely entertaining so far, some of the new pokemon are a bit odd, but still the whole new region is mint. Enjoyable, first pokemon i played since Gold on my GBC haha.

I'm stuck at the elite four, my team is underleveled but otherwise fairly balanced as far as skills & resistances goes.

Using a Galvantula, Krookodile, Samurott, Ferrothorn, Sigiglyph & Chandelure all around 40-42.

Guess I should go grind a few Audino's but I can't be bothered

Haha, I got to carried away grinding and thus ended up with an over-leveled team for what i'm doing. Audino is pretty much the Snorlax of this version, an absolute beast with a wad of HP.

Was thinking of getting a Krookodile, worth it? Intimidate is pretty sweet.

Plan to Evolve Pansage soon, pretty useful Pokemon, has ghost/grass/flying and dark moves, including Seed Bomb which seems the don.

Krook is fairly cool, I use mine as my main Dark type Pokemon, him having Bulldoze is also a really nice extra.

Yeh, TMs being able to be used multiple times is a nice bonus though.

No, the only real difference between versions is minor improvements and new pokemons. You're always better off playing the latest version.

I'm upto the 7th gym. I have Emboar level 47, Minipete level 44, Watchdog level 31.


Such an addictive game! Loving it.

I just hope the online battling/ranking system is all its cracked up to be.

Has anybody tried it?

Emboar is just simply the baddest assed pokemon around.

Online is fun as battling tbh, ain't touched in a while

Emboar is a don, mine sitting high and mighty at lv 100 ;D.

love this, like all other pokemon games. I get way too carried away and make a competitive team though, eg; IV/EV trained etc.

Played two online matches so far, won 1 lost 1, its pretty slow online cos of my shit wireless router though.
