Pointer Problems

I play the game using mouselook and when I need to target I press CTRL to bring up the arrow,

When I do this the arrow "Flickers" as if im continuously pressing the CTRL button.

Tried diff Resolution/refresh rates/windowed mode etc and no joy.

Making it a damn pain in the ass to play in rvr ;/

Any ideas ??

i do it the other way around and it's very annoying

does it act that way in fullscreen as well btw?

Yep same in Fullscreen.

Weird thing is, sometimes it wont happen at all, very intermittant (happens 80% of the time)

But because of the way I play - makes it very hard..

And _if_you'd_read_the_thread_ you'd have noticed that the issue gets fixed in 1.65

Ok Smartass, if it gets fixed in 1.65 then its a known issue.

So whats the known problem that I may be able to resolve myself.

I get the same problem mate, and it is very annoying but unfortunately I am yet to find a temporary fix (maybe get my card to cap off at 59 fps )

As the thread says it seems to be a problem with the game not supporting very high refresh rates as it only manifests on relatively high end graphics cards. As such I doubt there is very much you can do except wait for Mythic to put that support in. I suppose you could turn your graphics card settings right down - refresh 60hz or so and see if that makes a difference.
And yes I had worked out why you were asking from the first post which is why I posted the link to the answer. Less of the misplaced sarcasm for someone who's only tried to help you would be nice.

Actually thats a good point Boni.
My laptop has that card in it but i *think* that I still suffer from the flicker problem (will have to test soonish)

maybe take your own advice? I only reacted to your initial post.

Wether or not this is fixed in 1.65 (gonna be about 6mths minimum before I get that patch) doesnt help since the problem makes it ridiculous to play at the moment.

So I would just like some ideas on temp fixes tbh so I CAN play properly till the patch comes out :x

Fine, and here was me thinking that providing a link to a post where the problem was identified and the fix (even though it doesn't help you instantly) was being helpful.
