Upload is why I left TalkTalk, they cap fibre upload at 2mb/s even tho its capable of 20mb/s currently, robbing bastards.

I'm using the BT default one. Does exactly what it says on the tin. It's attached to an openreach modem (I thought modems were extinct?!!?) My mum scabs my internet through half a metre of limestone wall so the router is pretty good. (yes, I live next door to my old dear and yes she browses her country living websites through the same cable as I download my porn!)

Living in the sticks too! Ping could be better but it's still "settling in" been less than a week since installation

Im getting around 76mb/s but I have been using Devolo AV200 power line plugs which seem to only max at 40mb/s which is annoying!

I might have to get the AV500 ones and see if that's better....

Pity me:

Having a few problems with pusnet at the moment (its adsl):

I'm running my synology audiostation to stream music when I'm on the move. The upload that you see above is a peak value when in reality, I'm getting more like 0.25 Mb/s. But at work and on my wife's 3g phone (synology server at home) I appear to hit a cap of 45 kpbs - this is enough to stream a low bitrate mp3 - but anything with a high bitrate just cuts out. Big files are also capped at about 45 kbps. Do these guys shape their traffic?

Ahhh....rang plusnet....mystery solved - it seems that many BT lines are routinely capped at 0.41 Mb/s - they have requested it be uncapped - should bring it up to 1.5 Mb/s
