Right,

Not really a question involving DAoC as such, but its pissing me off n e how, and I'd hope some 1 on here maybe able to help me with it!

Question: When I play a game (Any game!) After a few mins the sound card will just go dead! For no reason at all. Iv checked my drivers are installed correctly etc. No error messages, just dies!

If n e body could please help me with this id be greatful

Are they up to date check the manu's webbie for recent drivers.

Is it recently bought...... maybe send it back under warrenty to get a new one.

Well u failed to tell us your hardware specs.
mainboard, CPU, soundcard even what kind of PCI/ISA cards you may have is relevant.

So please be more detailed.

first thoughts that come into mind is.

1. u have a newer mainboard with a integrated AC97 soundchip.
2. u have a isa/pci soundcard.

if 1 is the case chances are that a. mainboard is faulty. b, System runns hot and ac97 chip hangs.

solutions: try an pci soundcard instead. and disable the integrated in bios. or get better cooling.

if 2 is the case. a soundcard is faulty. b. Your PCI bus is overclocked and or your CPU and BUS is overclocked to much.
c. Again your system runs to hot is a possible cause.

solutions: try setting all clocking options to factory defaults, try another soundcard, if u have an integrated try that.
get better cooling.
