PLs Eggy do an ml4 raid

It wasn't helped by 4 different people giving advice while Im trying to give clear direction. For every town camp request I made I saw in bg advice for pming leaders, advice for taking towns, advice as to when and where we should zerg FOS. As raid leader its up to me to assess each group and choose when the time is right.
Exis you organized the raid, yet you have not read Vos, that 4.2 was the first encounter and requires taking the 3 towns. You were a group leader and I asked you 3 times to guard camps and towns, and each time you asked me what you were doing, what the step involved. If you want to organize these things on fh, please make sure in future you know what is involved to some degree.
Having Panky spam that I zerg the towns and the FOS when I was busy getting groups to hold each town was not welcome either.
I've done ML4 for each of my alts now, about 6 times altogether, this is the first time it was bugged and the last thing I needed were 3 people all urging the zerg to do things that were not part of the plan.
There is more than one way to do ML4, and when you come to do your way, I am sure it will be different to mine, perhaps better sometimes, perhaps worse, but don't assume because you have done it ten times more than me that it is only strategy possible, and don't advise me when it is clear I am adopting a proven strategy. In the end it just confused things.

There was nothing wrong with my strategy, it was bugged town 1. If you had led it the same thing would have happened.

I am sure the advice would be useful in the right context, not when Im running an established strategy and need the zerg to be cohesive in its execution.

We may have survived if I had put 3 full group in town 1, but it did appear from the bg chat that it was under control. Just as we formed a line to assault the Fortress of Storms we got the message that town 1 had popped and people were wiped. By the time we pulled back safely from FOS and returned to res at 1 we got the message that town 3 had been wiped.
People who have been on ML4 with me as leader will know this has never happened before, they will also know that I can co-ordinate it with /bu alone without the need to pm or /bg listen or write down group leaders names.
They will also know that I employed a technique of taking out camps, taking out the town, pulling the camps in and leaving a group in town. This worked on all prior times and would have worked again. It was not this strategy that lead to failure, but the repop at town 1. For this reason advice for zerging the towns at that point, advice for PMing leaders to send orders and advice for leading the people at town 1 dead while the zerg stormed FOS, all given by different people, were just not welcome. In comparison to many raids /bu was relatively clear, consisting mainly of town status, requests by me for groups to change camp spot & confirmation by the groups involved. There was no need for me to /bg listen, merely for me to threaten to kick people for offering advice, which worked.
Ultimately time let us down, as we would have to restart the step at 10pm which would leave the raid ending at 2am or so, far too late for too many people.

[Battlegroup] Eggy: Requiel is fixing the step which is currently bugged. Clear and secure town 2 and 3 and wait for 1 to be fixed, otherwise you will fail.
I will not bother in future.

well his advice might be good most of the time or always, i dont know.
what i do know is that eggy can be quite a **** to ppl.
then again, sometimes ppl need to be asses once in a while to keep their own sanity.
(p.s: dont get me wrong eggy, i like you ingame, just not so much on FH)

What i heard in BG had Nothing to do with spam.... Eggy was trying to help out... BUT as RL u are under alot of preassur, specially when a importent step is bugged...
the few raids i have hosted my self, i have (most of the time) been glad when there was chat in the BG, it makes for a fun raid... and ppl hardly notice when u feck up the times on FH, or when a step aint going smoothly and takes atleast 1 houre too long... ppl just chat a bit and follow the zerg...
and thats a good thing

Provided nobody else declares intent to run it I may do so early next week. What with Friday's ML7 I am gonna be quite exhausted for it to be this week or the weekend.

When I did ML8 the other day I made it clear at the start of the raid that advice on each step was welcome, and you gave it, and I thank you for it; but when its in /bu when it is paramount that groups know exactly what is expected of them, it was certainly mistimed.
If you wanted to run it that way you should have asked Exis for leader status at the beginning of the raid.
