nah i mean 2 high ml and RR stealthers can handle a reasonbly good toa'd rr5 sm, if pets on intercept though your gonna have to use the full arsenal of dirty tricks to keep the SM wrapped up.

but sorc just has to pop rr5 ra and your gonna be biting dirt regardless.

Or a SM ML9 pet

buffed templar hits much harder than a buffed sm pet fyi, any pet charm class should be given warlord over convoker to prevent this bs occuring in the first place :p

I mean apart from the obvious QQ factor of this post. This is a seriously deadly ability that cant have been thought through properly? (or am I missing something)

So you don't have FZ?, or alternatively mezz poison?

Vanish is bugged too, it wasnt "designed" to clear aggro from mobs chasing the stealther using it.

But true, you dont really want to melee a ml9 pet, buffed or not buffed. Nukes take them down very easily tho, so its kinda nice to have something to defend oneself against stealthers with vanish or fz.

I thought you had learned that the hard way some days ago, cough.

Right, and using a pet to kill has a few tradeoff's as well, like less than half the rp's you'd get compared to if you nuked the target down.

I wouldnt mind trading ml9 pets for removing vanish and fz. Or at least being able to purge FZ, and vanish not clearing aggro.

Try see it from a caster point of view, my runemaster gets 2-3 shotted by those things..

Or try to see it that you can root the pet and nuke it down in a few nukes

I'm not saying it's not a great abililty, just that it's situation like most things and not the IWIN button people think it is.

If I root the pet, the sorc finishes me, If I dont, the pet will get to me and kill me its a no-win situation unless I get the jump, my bolts doesnt miss and I get off 1-2 nukes before I am mezzed. And even then, you havent taken MoC into consideration, if I burst it the chance is big he will aswell and who would win of a lifetapping caster that nukes faster and a baseline self debuffer?

Aye, and i'm using it 'cause i'm tired of getting ganked by stealthers whenever i move around. So now i'm paying them back.

*edited* But you dont run solo as a runie. If you did, you'd still have no chance against a sorc with a pet, be it ml9, or <50.

You think its fair to 2-3 shot someone with a pet, because they try to get away? try fight your own fights instead of having something fighting them for you.

Again read that it's situational, in your example the sorc has to:

1. Be ml9
2. Have got a decent pet
3. have it buffed up
4. have kept it alive long enough from the roaming gank groups to meet you 1 on 1
5. Actually find you 1 on 1

Even in FGvsFG combat and your group looses the mez, this pet can do extreme damage and even if they loose the initial mez combat, it can turn the tide because the pet resists root(happens alot) or something else leaving a kiting caster/support. If you can't admit that a pet swinging for more then ML10 RR10 fully equipted Blademasters does is wrong, there is no hope for humanity.

My own fights? That's a pretty weird definition, as i'm a sorcerer i am also a pet-class since i can charm mobs. I control my pet, ie its doing what i'm telling to. In effect it has every similarity to swinging a sword. I just dont need to spam styles.

You have loads of spell abilities, weapon abilities, artifacts, master level abilities. Its always a balance learning how to adjust to the situation and the enemy. If the game is designed to be fair, now thats an interesting question.

Yes it is wrong, but so are soooo many things in this game that I won't single it out.

ML9 buffed chanter,sm or BD pets aren't a laugh a minute either, and neither is juggy 3 on one - maybe not as extreme as a level 50 pet, but more likely to have one when you need it.

Any BD who goes for Convoker, should get a Star of Destiny instantly. Chanters isn't as big problem as pre-NF most hib groups are now Eldriches and Blademasters. SM pets is prolly the only 'pet champion' left out of those. And anyone spending points on Juggernaught is either, dropping something more useful or is insanely high RR :x

For more? Heh, i've been hit for 650'ish damage from a 2 hander, Coldbeard, some month's ago. You should rather compare the DPS than what it hits for each swing, 'cause you'd notice it has a very slow hitrate. I'd bet my ml9 pet on that he'd outdamage me.

ml9 convoker should be changed to something that all the convoker classes can use... and something not quite so hideously sick in certain situations.

Guildmate was taking his ml9 pet and his buffbot and killing various level 70odd monsters around the realm and was just amazed at how overpowered it was, never mind for stealther hunting.

I agree, making my brittleguards the size of kobolds is the only fun I can have with ML9, apart from Titan.
