Please help Newbie

Hi

I have now installed counter strike, and have all the software I need to play online, including the All seeing eye.

I have noticed a problem with the game which makes play completely impossible.

When I use my mouse to look up etc it moves about 1/2 a second later. The movement is not instant. It feels like lag, but cant be because it happens in training when I am not online. Now this makes the game completely impossible to play, but I have no idea what to do to resolve it.

I have adjusted the mouse sensitivity....no effect.

I have cleaned the mouse..no effect.

What do you think is wrong? Has anyone had the same trouble and if so, how did you solve it?

I have a 32mb TNT2 graphics card, 256mbRam, 600mhz comp and an ADSL connection.

Solution:

add -noforcemparms and -noforcemaccel to your hl/cs command line and in the advanced controls turn mouse filter OFF

I had a very similar problem recently, but more to do with everything (keyboard, selection, mouse). It turned out to be some internet software I had installed and forgotten about. Have you anything like this running? When you fire or move with teh keys, is t he same delay evident?

tom, you are just an eejit. Pr0nSearcher v2.2 should always be disabled when playing online.

This did this to me on XP, so I ditched XP.

heh u fool, it was totalrecorder, a program for capturing streaming video!

Anyway I solved it by installing OGC 13.432 and Direct X 34.4, now the game plays itself.
