Debateable really. Neither team was at it's full strength (Chelsea missing Cech though i guess in the end it didn't really matter, and Barcelona were missing Eto'o), although the away game Spain will be interesting in 2 weeks time.

Kinda ironic though that Drogba had a poor season last year, sign a £30m striker and suddenly he picks up

Well, do you not think it may be because Drogba is now not up front alone? Last season it was mainly him up front by himself (ok, sometimes he was upfront with Crespo, but in the main he was upfront alone), but now chelsea play 2 strikers. Maybe because defenders are like "oh noes, its Schevchenko" they arent keeping tabs on Drogba and therefor ehes getting the time and space he didnt have last season when playing up front alone?

Perhaps because people are really concentrated on defending on shevchenko and that gives drogba more space.. and more chances to score?

Perhaps yeah but personally i'd like to see Drogba and Robben playing as the two key strikers, with Sheva playing just off them in front of Ballack/Lamps or whatever

Also it looks like a lot more teams are in form this year (look at Madrid/Man U) and it doesn't look like Barcelona will march on and win it as easily by any means.
