I've beaten you last 2 fights Eleasias. Using my 2 handed sword for PA, CD and SS plus poison and after that you haven't got that much left healthwise. Though credit due you still hit damn hard in melee for a Ranger.

piercers get a penalty when hitting Leather, Reinforced, Plate, and I think Studded and Scale. Wow we only get bonus\even's on cloth and chain

oohhh and btw piercering doesnt get a + or - damage against plate , i found that out the hard way

If the assasin miss his PA chain, then you have a chance...
if they get PA of your dead b4 you can defend yourself

Mthic should remove stun from assasins... and stealth..

Have you ever tried piercing inch thick plate with a sharp pointy knife?

No?

If you had then you're know why there's no bonuses to plate.

Crushing weapons batter metal, dent it and reduce it's effectiveness. Hence the bonus.

Interestingly, Greatswords (2h swords) were developed to combat Plate armour - due to the great weight behind them they could smash through the connecting parts of the plate.

Unfortunatly for the plate wearers, full plate as seen in DAoC was developed just about the time as firearms were.

Israfael- if you're going to get all historical about it, crossbow bolts and longbow shots were both a huge threat to plate-wearing knights. It's relatively easy to punch through thin, brittle metal plate.
And don't say plate mail isn't thin, because it would take a superhuman to stand up in 'inch-thick' solid armor.


edit: i was under the impression plate was 5% vulnerable to plate. Of course, any armsman or pally will probably have 5%ish thrust resistance, meaning it will appear neutral to you in terms of damage.

knights could only JUST stand up in it. it was fecking heavy, hense why they were usually on horse back. if they got knocked to the ground it would have been almost impossible to stand back up.

and israfael is right, you wouldnt run at someone wearing full platemail and try to kill them with a stabbing motion. you'd hack at them. and of course xbows and longbows were a threat, they fire with a BIT more power than a person stabbing a knife into you.

Its a free ability we hunters get at level 30. Just read the patch release on Stratics.
You first stealth then click on camouflage (sp). Once in that state we move as fast as we can when stealthed and no one can see us even the detect hiden ability. We can enter combat with it on but it drops imediatly and can not be reused for 10 mins.
Its a realy good scouting ability all archers are going to get.

what the dilio ? i dont remember u ever melee'ing me down, and i'm pretty sure if we were at it u wouldnt stand a chance....unless u used ur speedbuff and ran or something lol

i mean lets face it, lifebane doing 400 damage minimum + debuff poison doing -128 con and -128 strength
and 50 thrust dragonfang style....i wouldnt even need it probably, a few garottes should do it
and u would win how ?

(i have to admit it could have been loccon or para playing my account...but even then i SERIOUSLY doubt it)
