Went to bed around 1am CET. By then there was 2 mansions, 2 villas and 1 cottage for a total cost of aprox. 900p. All situated around a nice little lake I now call BC Lake

BC was first out, Mjollners Fury (Go Danord!) and Snowhite next. FOM's Grand Cottage and to round up the evening the TDD mansion.

Avengers of Pendragon got our cottage last night on a lot costing 117p or so Third house you see from entering housing zone i think so should be worth it Just need to farm cash for the mansion now...

Hehe, SS is taking it a bit slow, looking around and waiting for the prices to drop. We did have enough to fork it out for a plot and a mansion right off the bat, but none of us see a need to waste our hard-earned plats on something like that.

FoM first decided to wait.. but around 22:30cet we changed our mind... the big problem we had was that Ardamel logged with the guildcash

But we managed to get 120p and bought the land for 118p and a little cottage Mansion will soon be up!

Albion started off pretty much the same way.

The first house built seemed to be a cottage. got to wonder whats going on when you pay close to 120 plats for the land only to build a cheap cottage on it - but ...... Sure they can upgrade later but if your short on gold why not wait for the land to be cheaper.

Poor GoL went for a cottage initially - which after being abused for a couple of hours on alliance chat they upgraded. It was making our "Millionaires Row" (mansions/villas on waterfront) look FAR too cheap

By the time I was logging the count seemed to be 3 mansions and a villa close to 1 lake (waterford), with a couple of other cottages/houses built close to walk-in entrance from Cotswold.

After making sure we had enough gold to buy the land/mansion immediately guild just didnt have the patience to wait. Seemed a little pointless to wait once we'd decided where we wanted to live - cheers to all who bought respec stones from HB for funding this

The house Draylor speaks of belongs to us, Knights of Pendragon, I believe we were the first in Albion to erect a building Why is it a cottage? Well it's not the guild house it's a merchant house, there purely for the consignment merchant. Why pay 120p for the land? Simple, location! It's the first building you see when entering the housing zone and I can already tell you it's started to pay for itself

Sure, well someone was obviously going to try this.

Ignoring the problem with seeing item prices - itll probably be quite successful for the next week or so until most guilds/people have their houses sorted out. Then the normal way to enter the housing zone will I expect be by porting/releasing to a house - your location starts looking a little less attractive.

Long term I expect the best location for a "merchant house" to be either as close to central market of the zone as possible (being near to the marketplace NPC (1.64) will only help) or close to the houses of large guilds (more passing trade)

Still - with 20plat+ of sales from your merchant house already it seems youll do more than well enough

I can tell you that the Brothers (and sisters) are waiting for the land prices to drop enough so we can fit a cardboard box on it. Cant put it too close to the water as it wont be waterproof.

As an aside, I think that the game has gained a new facet with housing here, especially at this early stage. All of a sudden, you get a new view on some guilds who are not very active in RvR, but who can immediately slam up a mansion or two and spare no expense.

You werent the only ones - theres a cottage 2 plots along from you, one of Caballeros Pikoenes (ok, spelling terrible but i tried!) plots started as a cottage, GoL started with a cottage or house, etc.

I haven’t seen any guilds not in the top 10 RP last week in their realm that have a Mansion. But hey, you were generalising.

Sheesh, lay off the aggro, mister. I don't see how anyone can take offense at my simple, guileless statement above, but I guess some guilds have an inferiority complex and snap at everything. In my particular case, I was thinking about some Albion guilds that seems to have bottomless pockets.
