Thinking getting this instead of paying for daoc subs

I played it for a while..

If you like FPS games, then this might be the thing for you.

I myself got bored of it, due to sucking at sniping and fps games in general

Give it a go.

well, depends what u wanna know about it.

theres a "level grind" but u have very few drawbacks being a "low lvl" in planetside, u just need to aim good and it doesent matter if ur battlerank 1 or 25.

theres tanks, armoured cars, airplanes, support vehicles, support aircrafts, bombers, BFR's =BattleFrame Robotics or Big Fucking Robots, wich they acually are.

the battles, they can be pretty damn intense. but if u dont have a pretty good system u wont be able to do much in the really big battles when theres 300-400 ppl fighting around one base.

and its not seldom u can fight at a continent for a entire day, log for the night and log back on the next day just to realize, THEY ARE STILL FIGHTING!

u have cloakers (tho nothing as good as in DAoC, u can still be seen even if ur cloaked, (think predator cloak in those movies.)

u have the ordinary grunts, a "light" armoured type and a reinforced type, then u have the MAX'es they are basically a robot shell around u, kinda.

IMO, its THE best mmoFPS game out there, (well its the ONLY mmofps gamne out there i think)

but if u hate zergs, this game isnt for u.

this game wont work without the zergs hehe

Sadly this game was uber until they introduced the BFR which screwed the game totally a while back, I dont know what the situation is like now. Maybe its still a lame copy of mechwarrior ^^

i still have planetside installed and played it a couple weeks ago i find it still fun now and again but after 4-5 days it becomes very annoying tbh, the BFRs ( Big Fucking Robots ) are fucking massive and very strong , although i did manage to kill one while i was in an Anti Infantry max unit muahhaha, but tbh the game was awsome before BFRs, they totally ruined the game , a bit like ToA with camelot
good game , f*cked by sh*tty ideas.

planetside was a great game, but atleast since the introduction of BFRs it really got crappy

If you're looking for a FPS, try Battlefield2.

well, u can acually KILL a BFR nowadays and a grunt inside the shield with a AV gun and u can kill it pretty easy

its still a bitch to kill tho if u aint many enough shooting it. and the "flying" BFR's are still close to impossible if they know what they are doing. but atleast u can make that one run

and 15 sec later u will have most of the base zerg in and wipe u

never seen a galaxy drop that have held the CC long enough to give the attackers a chance.

if theres TWO galaxy's on the other hand. then the defenders might have a problem. depends how much they care
