PL lost 6 titans. Seems NC lost 2 in the clash aswell

No biggie for either side, can buy new one tomorrow if available on market

Rather give creds that they field supercaps at all when they know NC can pull double/triple/quadruple their numbers (double in this case)

No love for either though :p

man, PL had 16 titans in the system?

thats just wrong on so many levels...

/edit: from the comments on the "news" article.

PL actually lost 8 titans. We killed 6 and they self destructed 2. And the only titan kill I managed to get in on due to lag (had opportunity to get on 3) offlined his mods, put them in his corp hanger and destroyed his rigs so he gave a shitty km. Motherfucker

would explain the unfitted titan killmails.

Probably a good idea to use those more often.

Doubt PL will make the same fuckup again tbh :)

wonder how many supercap pilots PL have that's active.

I really dont want to click on PLs mouthpiece, Evenews24, so can someone summarise what kind of spin, the legionaires put on it?

Warping back from an op 1 jump out of UMI MH support fleet of 210+ mael/drakes/scimis/hurricanes/scorpions lands in bubble 20km off gate we get lollerbombed <my mael was took to 40% structure but i get repped up> and we begin fighting the PL Ahac fleet or approx 150+ and we are getting a bad beating until MH+PL both commit all their supers to the field and a HUGE lagfest ensues but we come out on top , thats about it really :D

Not being a 0.0 fleet guy but didnt the importance of titans drop hugely when they nerfed the Doomsday weapons? Are they still worthwhile?

Yes, just not as a mass blob killer. they are now as far as i know more meant to deal with other titans and supercaps rather then "small" ships.

ofc they could be used that way before, but now they are specialised towards it.

We intentionally created the lag/Lag won the fight/We are a bunch of meanies with too many Hic's/We didn't want those titans anyway etc :)

Titans most useful role is still logistics bridging.

aye, bit sad that the biggest and most powerful ship in EvE's history is primarily used as a bus....

imo they need to make titans even more worth taking to the field, and at the same time making them the rare super weapon they were originally intended to be. could start with tripling or quadrupling the manufacturing cost.

it's really not that fun to hear about ~30 titans fighting it out in the same system...

make titans so insanely expensive to make that even the biggest and richest alliances would need a year just to make one of them :)

Nah - they will just end up producing Super Titans at some point - prob tech 3 variety. Its too late to do anything about the abundance of titans tbh - too many people would scream.

Yea there was talk of Superdreads awhile back but it seem's that this was just the titan's new role , afew new ship classes would be nice at this stage or even a new tier of battleships/bc/cruisers etc , for example minmatar really need a decent up to date projectile platform as the only decent one atm is the machariel also imo most of the battleship models could do with updating especially the dominix/apoc :D

not the incredibly ugly "cigar" then? :)

I have 14m or so in gunnery so i cba to fly none pure gunnery ships so its below my radar :D + Domi is a better platform for that kind of shenanigans

I quite like how the Dominix looks myself.

There's something appealing to that massive ski-slope....

I think Domi's look like futuristic handguns - possibly phasers - they have the look of ergonomic grips :p

Best looking ship from a purely aesthetic view has got to be the Arbitrator tho...

I just wish it wasn't such a useless drone carrier...

yeah its alright, would be a lot better looking if the engines were the same on both sides.

Have the same issues with the Thorax, 90% of it looks great, but then you spot that engine below and............. /puke....

its fun to bait overconfident vagabond pirates with them by camping asteroid fields at 100km out so they think you are long range fitted :)

Tried it with a scorp first cause its easier to EWAR but not enough fell for it :(

No not alone, obviously a raven is what it is, you cant EWAR it enough.

You see, the "pirates" that roamed the 0.0 space the corp i was in rented weren't particularly bright, granted not that many pirates are, but these were notoriously stupid.

The system we were in were part of that alliance that got offed a year or so ago close to amarr system, god i can't even remember the name of it.... they had a NRDS policy anyway and had some proper grudges against pirates so not many of the really cleaver ones actually bothered with it because the risks were to big...

But yes, i did have one mate help me most of the times, because i couldn't fit enough EWAR on the stupid raven to reliably keep them where i wanted them.

Yes it still takes some doing killing a vagabond with torps alone, but i did have help after all so it was doable.

Not saying it was a good idea to use a raven to kill a close range anything with, just that its a great bait.
