I used Pixcao's website (http://www.pixaco.co.uk) recently and uploaded one of my best images so far this year, and had them print and send me a copy at 30x20 inches, costing £12 plus P&P.

please note I'm not advertising them!

Anyhow, the image I sent was a 2048x3072 jpg file, taken on my 6mp D60. Took a couple of minutes to upload to their website (you just drag the image into a box on their webpage, dead easy).

This is what came back today:

large%20print.jpg

I was deeply impressed. The quality of the paper is superb, glossy but very suitable for mounting behind glass. The resolution is excellent, I reckon they use a bit of interpolation when printing, because there isn't really any fuzziness to the image at all.

In short, if you have a few nice piccies that you want to hang on your walls, give this service a go. Highly recommended.

Just to come back to this. I'm ordering some prints with blueyonders photo service (got some free credits).

Can we get a poll or set of opinions on which online service is the best? Quality of paper and prints etc?

For me, photobox.co.uk. Their service is friendly and very quick, their paper is great and I've got some stunning looking prints. I was recommended them by another photographer I know, and everyone I know won't use anyone else.

You want a nice looking print get an 10x8 gloss. They're lubberly.

And yes photobox rule for speed. I once put an order in at 5pm. Received it 10:30am next day. Wows.

guys,

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I'm looking for some advice on online photo prints.

It looks like Pixaco have been taken over by Snapfish and Im not sure that thay can provide what I am looking for.

I have an excellent Panaromaic picture which I am looking to have printed on a large "canvas" to allow framing and wall mounting. Trying the Snapfish webby, it expands the picture to fill the poster canvas and chops off the side of the picture.

anyone use any other printing website and can recommend?
