In this particular case, a group of people who are capable of such evil have decided to give the pirates a taste of their own medicine, more for their own pleasure than any form of justice I imagine. But in the process of such an evil deed they maybe saving many lives, so is it really such an evil deed?

and how many ppl have these pirates actually ended up killing up to date? and i'm talking about killings that they have done "because they can" and not because they were forced to.

they have as far as i know killed very few ppl, and even less out of spite. most of them have been from rickoshets(sp?) and from being forced to by trigger happy military personell. granted its still murder but as far as i know they havent actually ended up killing that many at all.

so starting a pirate hunt cruise "to save many lives" is just bull imo. they do it because they want to and probably enjoy it, nothing else. why else would they sell tickets to it?

Hold on a minute. It doesn't matter if the pirates kill one or a hundred, or through malice or ricochets! They're still the ones committing the aggressive act! I may not like the idea of fat businessmen with rocket launchers on a big game hunt, but I have absolutely no problem from with the military turning every one of those pirates into dog meat.

Yeah they will want to stop it because they know what's going to happen; the pirates will get the jump on these idiots, and there'll be a bloodbath. But of course it won't be the millionaire's fault, it will be, "we were just innocent tourists, why didn't our navies protect us?" Because rich guys have better lawyers.

And they do have the jurisdiction to stop it because there are international rules about arming civilian and merchant ships (or rather, allowing them to come into port).

As I said before, the idea is sound; a Q-ship strategy would certainly make the pirates think twice, but doing it with fat millionaires isn't the way to go.

I've got a much better idea, lets get this local and relevant and buy an old house and get people to pay to sit in in with weapons and then invite estate agents round on teh premise they want to sell it and when the estate agent takes the bait the punters shoot them for fun.
