Ping times

I've just started playing CS, i've never bothered coz i only have a 56k modem and thought it'd be too slow, but i was surprised to see it ran really smooth, what type of ping rate should i be expecting from my modem ?? I think i was getting from 100-200 last time i tried, is this too high ??

If you can get a ping closer to 100 than 200 you are doing well for 56k and its very playable

Lol didn't you listen to all the people that were saying ADSL was crap for gamming last year

Bt came round and took out my isdn today

Still my 40-50 ping isdn, beat the super adsl lol

I get 30-50 with my CM and thats with a rate of 8000 and higher update, cmd rates

i had the choice...either use copper wiring from bt or optical from NTL...can guess what i choose?

Forget the wires, it's BT thats the problem

50 quid to take away a service they billed me 180 quid for in the first place, plus over 2 years of treble my line rental, for the same copper wire
