Just picking up on this recent BBC News story about HMS Nottingham that ran aground off Australia last year. The ship was moved back to the UK by piggybacking it on another specialist vessel.

Those are superb pictures. Thats a very weird ship...a towing ship...didnt think something like that existed

Wow, if you hijacked it you could do a James Bond style movce and capture ships rising up underneath em and lifting them out the water...

If I had one of those I'd moor it across the entrance to a harbour the night before a race. All those expensive racing yachts come speeding out, don't notice they're trying to sail over a huge ship, and get their bottoms ripped off. That'd be fun for me.

I suspect they thought of that and anchored it somehow. Be a bit of a pisser to drop a destroyer.
