OMG they are soooo uber (no joke).

I played a 50 thrust , 39 DC rest parry piercemaster.. those guys own so bad. with flurry and 3 styles i killed a yellow skald. 6 more hits (damn fast) and a healer goes down. i manage to kill an isen herra zerker then too after IPing with the help of diamondback and triple wield(and another flurry) before they took me out.

basically when in a FG and buffed i've never played a char which does so much damage as these guys. it's relatively easy to get off the 4 style melee chain in rvr, unlike how i imagined. and of course after evading (which happens a lot on this BM with dodger) you can give out that 5sec stun.

main hand was a 99% 16.5dps rapier, offhand the DoT proc prince piercer.

so: all make pierce bms! :p

If I ever lvl50 with oxygen, I'll wait till we get 8char slots then make a pierce master.


Hmm maybe I could make 3 lvl50 bm's for each weapon spec now THAT would be SAD!

LoL Nova,, the BM in question also told me how many RP u made, not a bad amount in short time :D

Even a gimpy elf ranger with 44+6 pierce can give a chain-wearing invader a nasty shock, especially with our capped elfy dex and our nice dex/qui self buffs. I was planning to respec to blades like all the other rangers when 1.52 came, but after duelling on Gorre I decided to stick with pierce for now.

I have a hard time getting through the entire 4-style Black Widow chain, though. It's usually blocked or parried at some point and I have to start over. :p

42 bow, 44 pierce, 36 pathfinding, 25 stealth, 13 celtic dual.

I like my spec. Bow around 50 with RR and items, 44 pierce gives me the Dragonspider followup to Diamondback, and the second-best damage add and AF self-buffs. Ghetto stealth but with camouflage it's good enough to be able to sneak to Crim alone when I can't get a group at Ligen. I'm obviously no uber melee ranger like the big E, but I can generally hold my own, and the swordplay makes a nice change from the usual.

Hey, I tested mine on gorre and loved it enough to spec to pierce.

No keep it down before there are pms everywhere :p

heheheheh will do Nova, so busy watching my 3 little red perf lights, most people are beginning to think I am a buffbot...sitting at DL waiting for a light to go yellow, so I can run into the gorge and get alpha to use all his RA's on me(sadly he's been bringing friends)...

Pierce is GREAT vs chain wearing classes .. Only problem is .. rangers mostly get attacked my assasins . .and sometimes haved to melee minstrels ..


what EVERYONE seems to forget is that although a 5 sec stun is nice .. its off an EVADE .. where with blades, fire/ spectrum chain which is anytime .. u get the same effect in the end ( 20% less damage taken )

Bust still, I belive pierce as a good main weapon for any primary fighter class. Bonus bamage vs the most common classes.

Minstrel ,Merc ,Scout , Cleric , Thane , Skald , Healer.

Just have to say with high quick/haste buffs you can't be slow on the styles, easy to miss when using 2.2 spd weapons!
Shame dobs is a bitch to get but it's flipping fantastic, 16.2 dps, nice since it's 100% quality and I'm not rr5 yet ;)

I use dobs and a glimmering stiletto combo, looking for an oros tho cos the bains black diamond rapier looks the nuts but since end use is also based on weapon speed it gobbles it up something chronic, it's nice when people exclaim how bloody fast you are tho :D

Was happy with 15 wins out of 18 fights on gorre, thought this will make a nice change and I hadn't gimped myself either!
I had just got plain bored with blades, having a blade specced hero and warden :(
Ought to point out I lost to an inf, sb and a minstrel although the minstrel I put down to me still learning how to fight with new moves and the inf/sb to being buffed to the hilt :)

Be nice when opponents can no longer turn when stunned/mezzed, the copperhead chain has surprisingly high dmg.

Anyway i like big numbers. And wonder if that bm really could outdmg a decently specced chimp :p

A well made BM can at least do the same dmg, providing you have mastery of pain ofc ;) I've only done fast comparisons in dmg output (IE on the fly in battle :p), it's certainly not that disimilar and at least bms don't run out of end quite so fast ;)

With fast piercers stop at sidewinder at least, just for the attack speed debuff ;)
Cobras bite is the icing on the cake, nothing like delivering the killing blow with a little tuck and roll lol

what con was he loff cus ive done 300+ to yellows and 600+ to blue cons a lot and if u add tri-blade into that u can imagine :)

obviously yellow, think he was 50, no point posting dmg on green-blue cons.

A total of ~1100 dmg on the same "round" (from dd+hit+crit) is sth id like to see from a bm >.<

/duel challenge any piercemaster (or any other hib class for that matter :p).

The only guy to consistently beat me 1v1 is alpha (kind of serves me right for saying he ain't as good as old Alpha, i reckon he is now:) (I'd still own Gromit any day though)).

Just line up behind Yoshi and his "uber PA" skills :)

Well, we could get near it when mythic fixes celtic dual styles/bonus.

And no, this is not "another bm whine". You can read the BM Team Leader Report to see it is not. ( http://vnboards.ign.com/message.asp?topic=40746610&replies=14 )

Actually, I am quite happy with my BM, a blade using bm as well (I can hear your *gasps* :) ). Because in 1on1's I only lost to invaders who had IP while I do not have it. Agreed, I am not that "experienced" like some of you are.

Always having alot of fun listening to blademasters in rvrgroups. Many(not all ofc) of these dudes are not like other people. They refuse to adopt their tactic in group combat after what skills they actually have. Their only goal seems to be run to an enemy tank and challenge him in 1on1 and beat em down with their high parry and reactionary styles. If someone interferes with this you can hear em start screaming.....UAAAAAA that firewizzy nuked me dead so fast its SO unfair!...UAAAAA i got attacked by 2 tanks at the same time how LAME! nerf! I would beat ANY of them 1on1! Push that sprint button and go chop down the enemy mages&healers like you are supposed to ffs :p (and yes I play blademaster myself)

Erm that I do but depending on the situation I usually end up sticking close our caster and defending them instead. Just a crying shame that CD doesnt have a back stun like LW. The amount of times a tank will run past me to get to a caster with his back turned...just crying out for annihalation and its 9sec stun :(. Snow Shower simply doesnt cut it (no pun intended).

Happy to say I'm not like this, I can in fact kill more than one tank ;)
I have survived in battle long enough to use flurry twice and I don't have IP :p
I enjoy beating down mages and clerics anyway, happy to take tanks last :)
Sometimes I can't resist charging a zerker, friar or merc but for the most part grp first, I duel solo or in really small grps if it's possible.

ok ok, didnt know and was just the most recent SS i had fighting sum1 been meself ungrped (selfbuffed) will shuffle sum SSs from the old gorre duels for u :p All others screenies (i dont make screenies v.often) am prolly grped and ofc buffed.

ok, got almost no SSs from gorre also... nevah do SSs :/ but f u were there u prolly saw me kicking butts >.< altho i still had no rr6 no caped sum resists as now (specially had low slash which pwned me with scale vulnerabilty, now 27% :D)
