I'm writing this in a room thats completely dark. I'm wearing large wraparound sunglasses so I look like fucking Neo mixed with Ray Charles but as theres only me here (gf is at work) then who cares.

I have this http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/lightsensitive.htm and its fucking horrible. Has anyone else had it? How did you cope?

I got conjuctivitis mid week and went to hospital to try get it sorted and my eyes were going crazy with the light (my eyes are now like a red panda's or something).

Last night I had to have bandages over my eyes, and then sunglasses on top and they hurt like a bastard when I was in COMPLETE darkness for fucks sake.

Ive got the monitor on darkest settings and I can touch type in case you were wondering

Oh and yeah...g33k I know but I was gonna pickup WoW today. Fuck

Dams and Tdc, i havent forgotten sending Sh pix/advice on Canada/Japan either, I shall fix when I can SEE properly!

I've got a mild form of Photophobia. Most of the time I can live with it.
They have yet to come up with a cure for my case tho.....

I seem to be most sensitive to red light. Very annoying when a car hits the brakes in front of me....

My sympathies Xtro. I had a similar condition for a week or so after my eye operation. I had to go down to shitty South Wales and work for a week, which wasn't exactly easy since I couldn't look at the sky at any point.

It took about a week before I could go down to the hotel bar, the spotlights would just freak my eyes out and hammer my brain with pain.

Hey don't worry about sending SH stuff - I've written the section now anyway. Got multiple publishers brandishing whips at my back, gently nudging me to get a move on I'll see you in WOW though when you're feeling better.

The closest I've been to this was when I was a kid. For some reason all the sunlight I got whilst out playing suddenly decided to make my eyes hurt like hell. I ended up spending about a week in my bedroom, curtains (quite thick ones) closed, and often a cool flannel over my eyes.

Thankfully there's been no repeat of it since, although I am slightly paranoid about making sure I have sunglasses on/to hand if out in bright sunlight for more than 30 mins or so, else I KNOW my eyes will start getting sore.
