Photography books/websites

I'm just starting out with this photography lark and could do with some good recommendations in the way of books or websites for beginners like myself.

It's for digital photography btw.

my number one resource has to be www.dpreview.com - on top of the excellent reviews there's a load of info on terms, technique etc, and a huge selection of really helpful camera-specific forums

dpreview is a great site, excellent reviews, very good forums and kept bang up to date with breaking news.

You may also like to look at this which has lots of links etc.

If you're wanting to get into image manipulation then Michielson's Digital Photography and The Luminous Landscape also have poads of useful stuff.

I also like ePhotozine which has product reviews, and forums, as well as member gallerys that are good for inspiration.
